Omniscient POV:
"Sakiye im not understanding why you wanna meet him so bad we're not together!" Sakari groaned looking at her brother who was glaring at her
"Because I wanna know who the fuck livin in my lil sister house and got her all bubbly and shit." He spat and she nodded laughing
"Kiye I'm telling you I'm not In a relationship he'a just a...— a fuck buddy? Hmm so you just lettin niggas fuck on you?" He cut her off and she glared at him
Sakiye was always overprotective of his sister and he wanted to meet the man who his little sister had living in her home and was having sexual encounters with.
"Look Kari I'm not tryna come at you like that..I just don't wanna repeat of that Nigga. I'm just tryna look out fa you I'm not gon go over there and roughen up or nothin I just wanna meet em'." He said and she hummed looking away
She could understand where he was coming from because her past relationship was very toxic and she kept it from Sakiye until it was to late.
He swore to himself that he would always protect her and that's what he was trying to do.
"Kiye I understand what your saying and where your coming from but...I just—he's very sensitive and ion want you to scare him or nothin." She said looking down and Sakiye furrowed his eyebrows before Sakaris phone rung
She looked at her phone seeing "Bug🤍" flash across the screen and she looked at Sakiye who looked away leaning on the wall getting on his phone
She answered and sighed hearing Kairo instantly hearing Kairo complaining
"Mamaaa when you coming home. You been gone all mornin I'm bored as hell."
"I'll be home when I'm home bug I thought you were goin out with your brothers?" She asked and Kairo groaned
" I did go out with them and we got high.. they went to the club but Ian wanna go I wanna be up under you."
"I miss my titty come home please."
Sakari laughed at his last sentence before looking at Sakiye who was mugging
"Okay bug I'll be home soon take whatever you want for dinner out."
"Okay ma I love you be safe and hurry...please." He said and she nodded
"I know bye bug." She said before hearing three beeps
Kairo had been saying I love you but Sakari hadn't said it yet she was afraid that if she did that everything would go downhill.
"He miss his titty? What type shit y'all got goin?" Sakiye asked and Sakari mugged
"It's complicated Kiye come over next weekend for dinner and you can meet him and you'll understand okay?" She said and he nodded
He pulled her in for a hug kissing her forehead lightly
"I love you sis..we gotta go visit moms soon." He said and her smile dropped
"I love you to be safe Kiye and ion wanna go but I'll think about it." She said before walking out his house and getting in her car making her way home
Omniscient Kairo pov:
"Can you put no beans in mine?" Kairo asked Sakari who was about to mix the red beans in the rice
"Yes bug but your weird it's literally called Red beans and Rice?" She chuckled to herself and he mugged
"So what you do today ma?" He asked twirling his dreads around his finger looking her up and down licking his lips
"I just went ova' to my brothers and talked for a minute. Well I went to the shop first to help out then went to visit him. He wants to meet you." She said and his eyes widened
"Why he wanna meet me for?" He mugged and she laughed
"Because he wants to know who's living in my house is that okay with you Bug?" She asked as she flipped the lamb chops
"Yea that's fine but I know how ta fight in case he wanna be on bullshit." He said seriously and Sakari laughed because he never got aggressive
"You gon beat my brotha up bug?" She laughed and he nodded
"Here." She said placing his plate and his drink in front of him before walking to the kitchen and bringing her food back
"Feed me the fuck?" He said making Sakari glare at him
"I'm sorry mama can you feed me?" He asked and she laughed nodding
"Don't play with me Kairo." She said sternly and he nodded before opening his mouth letting her place some rice in his mouth
"You cook so good where you learn to cook at?" He asked and she shrugged
"I'm self taught really but my grandma did teach me a lil sum sum about cookin when I was younger." She said smiling at the remembrance of her Grandma
"She died a few years back something I never thought I'd be able to get over but I did with the help of Sophie and Kiye. I really looked at her as my mother so it hurt so bad but I had to move on. I didn't want to because I had felt like she would be mad but I-I had to." She said as tears clouded her vision
Kairos face softened as she pulled her onto his lap letting her straddle him
He rubbed small circles on her lower back while letting her cry in his neck ignoring the wetness on his shoulder
"I-I just feel so bad...it shouldn't have been so easy to move on with my life without her." She sniffed and he pulled her face out his neck making her look at him
"Mama you had to and I know that she's not mad she's proud of you if anything. Death is a hard thing to get over and heal but you did it because your strong she's not mad. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't want you down here slugging around sad everyday no she would want you to live your life In remembrance of her make her proud which I'm sure you have."
"You've opened your own shop you have your own house no kids. Your not depending on nobody but yourself. She's very proud of you mama don't cry." He said and she smiled looking at him
"Thank you I needed that." She mumbled and he nodded pecking her lips
"No problem mama now let's eat." He said and she laughed nodding
It's been a minute since I've updated. I've been trying to give y'all more insight of the characters lives and past lives.
