The sun was warm, gently resting on a sea of wildflowers that danced with the breeze. Two old friends sat together on a grassy hill — Ash Ketchum, silver streaks threading through his black hair, and Alain, his once stern features now softened with age.
Ash leaned back on his hands, breathing in the scent of the blossoms.
Ash:"Hard to believe how far we came, huh?" he said with a soft chuckle.
Alain smirked lightly, crossing his arms.
Alain:"You mean how far you dragged me?
You never stopped moving forward."
Alain:His tone was teasing, but the respect underneath was crystal clear.
Ash looked up at the sky, where a few clouds drifted lazily.
Ash:"I chased being the strongest for so long... but what really mattered were the people and the
Pokémon who helped me get there."
He glanced toward Pikachu resting peacefully beside him, fur grayer but eyes still bright.
Alain followed his gaze. His Charizard stood nearby, wings folded, like a guardian watching over the moment.
Alain:"I used to think power was everything," Alain admitted. "But you taught me that strength without heart is hollow."
Ash smiled — that same hopeful smile he'd always carried.
Ash:"We messed up... we won... we lost... but we lived one hell of a journey."
The breeze carried the laughter of their Pokémon, old partners who had been with them through storms and triumphs.
Alain plucked a white flower and studied it.
Alain:"If you could start over... would you change anything?"
Ash shook his head without hesitation.
Ash:"Not a thing. Every scar, every victory — it made this moment possible. And I wouldn't trade this moment."
Alain's expression softened.
Alain:"I'm glad I met you, Ash."
Ash nudged him with his shoulder, playful even now.
Ash:"Come on, Alain. You're my rival. My friend. Always."
The sun began to lower, painting the field in gold.
Two legends — once fierce competitors — now sat quietly, letting the beauty of the world speak for them.
In that vast field of flowers, their legacy didn't feel like trophies or titles.
It felt like peace.

The sky was gray over Pallet Town, as if the world itself mourned.
A gentle breeze rustled through the fields where Ash Ketchum had once raced with Pikachu on his shoulder, dreaming of greatness. Today, that dreamer was gone — and the world gathered to say goodbye.
Rows upon rows of people stood in silence. Champions, Gym Leaders, friends he'd made in every region... and countless fans whose lives he had touched.
At the front — Misty stood trembling.
Her eyes were red, tears falling without pause. She wore a simple black dress, clutching a locket Pikachu had insisted she keep. Inside was a photo from when their journey began — three friends and a yellow mouse smiling at a world that felt limitless.
