hermione sniffles, "madam pomfrey said it was cedric diggory"
you blink owlishly before smiling brightly, cheeks burning in delight.
oh, cedric! what a kind, cute boy!
"it was terrifying, seeing you here! we had all hurried in and you looked as if you were bloody beaten to a pulp!" ron grimaces, you wince slightly with a small smile.
"and madam pomfrey said you were extremely malnourished and had been for weeks! oh, [name], i'm so sorry we didn't notice!" hermione broke into sobs again, burying her face in your neck.
you hug her back tightly.
"it's okay. i'm fine now, really"
harry frowns deeply, "but.. who even did that to you?"
you frown deeply, mood dampening again.
"right.. um.."
you murmur, sighing.
"it was pansy and her gang"
they all growl, clenching their fists in anger.
"and hannah and susan.." you whimper sadly.
the three looked shocked.
"huh? hannah abbott and susan bones? weren't they like your best friends from hufflepuff?" ron questions, bewildered.
you sniffle, nodding, "yeah, they were.. but they got jealous.." you sigh out, looking down at your lap with sad eyes.
all three looked extremely angry.
"how could they do that" harry growls through gritted teeth.
"we have to tell professor dumbledore!" hermione says suddenly, you panic.
"wait, no!" you wave your hands crazily, all three looked confused.
"huh? but you said they were the ones who did this.." ron mutters.
you nod grimly, "i know.. but... if we tell professor dumbledore.. then they'll all get expelled. and if they get expelled.. they'll have no future! no chance to do anything!" you hold your cheeks, heart clenching.
"i can't do that to them" you shake your head.
all three were utterly bewildered.
how on any earth could you be so kind?
that group of girls nearly beat you to death and you're here saying to not report them?
"i won't forgive them nor will i be friends with any of them again, but can't ruin their futures.. they were just jealous.. they didn't like that i got more attention than them" you mutter sadly,
hermione sighs, sitting back on your bed.
"are you sure, [name]? this was really serious? you were out for nearly two weeks!"
your eyes widen.
"wow.. but yes, i'm sure.." you nod slowly.
ron and harry sigh at your decision, but nod.
"if that's what you want, then fine.. but you're too kind for your own good, you know that?" hermione smiles slightly.
you smile back, slightly wider.
