THREE MONTHS HAD PAST, Aitana was getting better at her English and was able to speak clearly and not in, slightly, broken English.
She's learned from both Joel and Ellie.

Ellie and her have become closer, especially after the thing with Sam and Henry. They were okay where they were at, but they weren't... 'best friends' per say. There were times when Aitana became talkative, but it felt like, after every loss, she'd shut down. Again and again. Ellie couldn't help but notice that about the girl.

Meanwhile, Aitana couldn't help but feel some other way about Ellie, and since she's never felt this before, she didn't know what it meant. All she knew is it felt like someone was tickling her stomach from the inside.

And she felt that now as she was huddled close to Ellie, hiding in some random couple's cabin and watching Joel hold them at gunpoint.

"Who the hell are you?" The male asked as he unzipped his jacket. "Just someone passin' through," Joel said simply. The girls watched the scene from upstairs, crouched behind a wooden railing and peeking through the gaps of the wood. "Take the gun out, two fingers only, put it outta reach." Joel demanded. The man slowly took his gun and put it on a table, "why didn't you shoot him?" The man asked his wife. "The gun's all the way over there." She motioned to the other side of the cabin, "he didn't hurt me, by the way."

"Yeah, I got eyes." The man shot back as he walked over to one of the small couches, noticing the three empty soup bowls on the table, "you made him soup?" He asked. The lady nodded, "yeah, I did. It's cold out." She defended herself as her husband sat down.

"I'm lookin' for my brother." Joel got back on track, "well, I ain't seen him." The man said, taking off his hat and dusting his hair off. "I haven't told you what he looks like." Joel replied, still holding the gun towards him, "he look anythin' like you?" The man countered.
