Chapter 12: Should We Stay?

"Wait what?" The girl with the British accent asks, as the doctor leaves to start preparations

"Is she the reason why the Budapest file is completely cut from the system?" Skye asks

"Hold on a minute," The guy with the Scottish accent says, going to the foot of your bed, pointing to your body "You're saying, that this girl is the daughter of two of the Avengers. And Ward shot her."

"Fitz," The girl with the British accent says

"Well I'm just saying Simmons," Fitz says, turning to who you think is Ward "Ward, you're screwed."

A few minutes later, your body is being taken into surgery. Instead of following, you stay back to learn more about Phil and the people who came with him.

"Colson, we should leave before we get noticed," The lady with the short black hair says

"May's right, we're not even supposed to be here," Skye says

"What? No. Phil, please you have to stay," You say, even though no one can hear you

You look at Phil with pleading eyes, hoping he would disagree and stay.

"If (Y/N) was aware of us, she would want to see me," Phil says

"Yes, I do," You say

"But," Phil starts

"But? No, no. No buts Phil," You say

"If the Avengers see me there will be multiple questions even I can't answer," Phil says

"How do you even know that this (Y/N) girl is actually their daughter?" Ward asks

"Because Ward," Phil starts "Before this team was even thought of, I kept a close watch in her. I made sure I was her teacher every year. I became the family friend of the people who adopted her. But then I was pulled out, yet I still kept an eye on her."

"So she's practically a niece to you," Skye says

Phil nods then gets a look like he's thinking.

"We can't just leave," Simmons says "It's obvious Colson hasn't seen her in years and same for her. And Sir, if what you're saying about what you were to her is true. She'd be ecstatic to see you."

Phil nods to himself, seeming to decide about something.

"Alright, we'll wait on the bus until barely anyone is around and then come back," Phil says

With a nod of agreement they all started walking. You, of course, follow them. Once you find your way there you make your way back when all out of a sudden everything goes black. You feel a burning pain in you back and hear the beeping of a heart monitor. You moan slightly in pain and force your eyes open to meet with a bright white light.
