Napatigil siya sa paglalakad. She slowly look back hoping that she's not wrong in recognizing that voice.
And when their eyes met. All her worry should wash away. But instead, her eyes burn in much emotion she felt she didn't she's capable of feeling.
Magnus is sitting on the ambulance. May benda na sa ulo at naroon pa rin ang benda sa balikat. Sa kaliwang braso naman ay may cast. His arm is broken.
Mabilis na tinahak niya ang distansya nilang dalawa. Napatayo si Magnus dahil sa paglapit niya at bago pa ito magsalita at agad niya itong niyakap ng mahigpit at binaon ang mukha sa leeg nito.
"Wife..."
Wife. She thought that she'll never get to hear him calling her that ever again!
Mas humigpit ang yakap niya dito.
Naramdaman niya ang pagdantay ng braso nitong may cast sa likod niya para yakapin siya pabalik. He can't move his other wounded hand tho.
"I thought I'd lose you..." She whispered but enough for him to hear it.
