Rhys' power is the ability to control minds
Jack doesn't have an special abilities but he's fast and talented with weapons. He works along side Rhys in missions as a team
Rhys' pov
"Our target is a dealer not new to the game but he's made quite the name for himself. Recently, he was found by authorities but escaped their custody before ever making it to the station"
Jack smirked "well, maybe I'll test this bad boy out" he showed off his new handgun to me, excited to get going
"Absolutely not. This guy may not have powers but he's not an idiot, he knows his way around a gun. I'm sure he has a stash of his own. So we're changing tactics. I'm going undercover as a new client looking to buy and then I'll get a confession as to where he hides his stash"
"What about me, cupcake?" Somehow, his sinister little smirk always found a way back on his face. The nicknames he used always had an affect on me and he always used that to his advantage.
My face heated up as I tried to look away from his gaze in embarrassment "you'll stay here in case it goes south and don't call me that, I'm your partner not your lover"
He grabbed me by my chin and forced me to look back at him "I'm no house sitter, princess" then he leaned in close. I could feel his warm breath up against my skin, sending chills down my spine "besides, maybe I want you to be mine"
Just as I thought we would lock lips, he left a small little peck on my cheek instead "at least let me tag along, I'll stay hidden. It'll work out, princess. I promise"
Then he pulled away as if that didn't just happen. Despite being totally against the idea, I crumbled and just nodded my head in agreement

Jack remained close by to keep and eye out, watching from a distance. As I approached I was asked some sort of password and then let inside
When I entered the building, I tried keeping my head low in order to keep a low profile. Truth be told, I was a little on edge.
Without looking up I felt the cold end of a gun being held up against my head
Meeting his gaze, I attempted to get inside his head in order to force him to hand me the gun
Hand me the gun now along with any other weapons you may have on you
but he just laughed
"Not gonna work, I know all about your little tricks, Rhys. I'm immune in a way" he checked to see if I was armed, of course I didn't bring any weapons in. When he was done, he just smiled bitterly "y'know, I wasn't expecting you, hero. Did any of your friends tag along?"
In that moment I realized I never had a chance at this, he already knew my identity. So, with what bravery I had left, I denied having backup. I wanted Jack to save me but there was no saving me now, he shouldn't go down with me
"No, just me"
"Really? My men found someone peeking outside" with that he gave a signal and his minions dragged Jack in. Jack looked a little roughed up but his men looked worse. Of course he wouldn't go down without a fight, it's Jack
"Everything is okay, cupcake, we can still-" before Jack could finish his sentence, he got punched in the gut
The man chuckled "I admire your courage and loyalty, Rhys, I really do. It's a change of pace from what I typically see"
