Dean stood in the kitchen icing a lopsided 2-later double chocolate cake, as Marianne Faithfull's Go Away From My World played on the radio.

"Hey honey. That looks delicious." Lisa smiled as she came in through the back door

"Thanks babe." Dean smiled. "It's not as good as your's, but I tried."

Lisa ran her finger along the icing and put her finger in her mouth. "It's delicious babe."

"Hey, I wasn't done." Dean laughed

"Well, you can fix it." Lisa laughed. "Besides, you know chocolate is my favorite."

"Happy birthday, mama!" Rebecca smiled as she walked into the kitchen. "We have a gift for you."

"Now Rebecca Elisabeth, you know you two didn't have to get me anything." Lisa smiled as she embraced her daughter

"Oh please, we wanted to." Rebecca said as she led her mother to the table and placed a beautifully wrapped gift in front of her.

Turning around, Dean stated. "Let the record show, I didn't wrap that, our daughter did." He went back to icing the cake

Lisa opened the gift to reveal a beautiful bracelet. "Thank you both so much." she smiled as she embraced her daughter

"We wanted to get you more than that, because you deserve the world." Dean said as he placed his butter knife in the sink

"Dean, this is perfect. Thank you." Lisa smiled

"Happy birthday mama." Rebecca smiled as she hugged her mother's neck

"Thank you sweetheart." Lisa smiled as she kissed her daughter's temple

Dean smiled as he brought Lisa's cake over to the table, placed two candles on top of it and lit them. "All right, make a wish, honey." he said

After Lisa blew out the candles and her husband and daughter applauded, she smiled at her biggest accomplishment. Her family.

"What is it mama?" Rebecca asked

"You know, I was always asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I thought I wanted to be a nurse just like my mother. But after I met your father, it became crystal clear, I wanted to be a mother and a wife." Lisa smiled. "You two are my greatest accomplishments."

"Oh mama." Rebecca smiled as she hugged her mother's arm

"Well, you're the best wife and mother babe." Dean said as he sat down with the plates, and sliced a piece of cake for his wife, his daughter, and himself. "Happy birthday, baby."

"Happy birthday, mama." Rebecca smiled

"Thanks, guys." Lisa smiled

After her alarm went off at 6:30 a.m, Rebecca turned over on her back, and turned it off. After running a hand through her beautiful brunette hair, she sat up in the bed, stretched and yawned. She sat there for a few minutes, looking out the window until the phone began to ring.

Ring
Ring
Ring

Rebecca yawned as she picked up the phone from the reciever, then laid back down in the bed. "Hello?" she answered
