"mmMmMmMMmMmMMMmM plants." I really like plants, plants are cool; did you know that the world's tallest tree is the coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), which grows along the Pacific Coast of the- "Your drowning your plant." I look over to see my brother in the doorway "No I'm watering it for the next couple days." I move onto the next plant "Mhm ok, anyways- dad made breakfast so come down when your done drowning your plants." He turned back towards the stairs, "fuck you jack" He didn't hear me of course, but it's not like I don't say it to him all the time. I put my watering can on the shelf and grabbed my backpack. After nearly falling down the stairs- I made it to the dining table. "Took you long enough." dad said, dad isn't my real dad, my real parents got arrested for uhhhh stuff. "He was drowning his plants again." jack pulled up a chair, dad gave me a look "I'm not going to buy you anymore plants if you keep drowning them Connor." He throws a strip of bacon to our dog, Toast. "I'm not drowning my plants! I'm just making sure they have enough water for the next couple days."I eat part of my egg.
"Are you going on a trip or something?"
"No, but I can't always water them in the morning-"
"Why not?"
"Because maybe I'm late one day or maybe I forgot."
"I hate to interrupt," jack said "but you should finish up soon, the bus will be here any second." He kneels down to pet Toast "I thought you were using the car?" dad asked, Jack, got up "yeah- well I changed my mind." I finish tying my shoe "No you just wanna see Anna again." jack threw his shoe at me "OW YOU FUCKING BITCH-" I throw an orange at him, which he caught and threw back at me "Get out you fucking dipshits." Dad pushed us out the door "NOOOOOOO I DIDN'T GET TO SAY GOODBYE TO TOAST." Dad just closed the door in my face "Come on the bus is here." We're the first bus stop thankfully, meaning we don't have to fight for seats. I sit in the front of the bus while jack sits in one of the back rows. I know jack is cool and all but it kinda hurts that he doesn't sit with me anymore. I put my headphones on, soon the bus starts to fill up with kids I've seen before, I've been on the same bus route for 5 years- seen the same faces over and over and over, till I saw this one person.x
