"I search. I keep searching for a way back, a way to prove myself. But still, nothing. I've traveled across worlds ravaged by time and war and peace. I've seen worlds that are primal and pure, worlds devoid of light and dark. And still, I cannot find a way back. Oftentimes, I think about Eurydice, about her face and the city I left behind. I cannot remember her face. I cannot remember my face, though I do try to keep it. There are not many mirrors on the road, though there are many blades. I also think of who I was before, naïve and foolish. I did not understand the worlds then. I do not understand the worlds, no man can, but I think I understand it more than before. I have traveled far. I imagine the places I've been to have affected me just as much as I have affected them.

If I find a mirror, and look into it, will I look the same way I looked before? Will I be the same man as before? Will I even recognize myself?"
