Tsukasa-kun, what are your plans for tonight?
"I don't know, but I am going to a party tomorrow"
Rui
Alright, make sure to come back on time
"You're always like this, you're not my mom or anything, but for some reason I still listen to what you say"
Rui
That's because we're roommates, we live together and we're like family

I haven't talked to Saki for a while, maybe I should give her a call when I'm free and not occupied with whatever trouble Rui is up to
That reminds me
Saki is going to the party tomorrow, it's Ichika's birthday afterall
"So uh,... do you want to come with me tomorrow? It's a pretty small party since it's just some friends"
Rui
No can do, I need to study for exams
"Right, I almost forgot about that, haha..."

But we can hang out during the weekend as a compensation for that

Alright, I'm done with my homework
He then pulls out a work-in-progress robot
"Looks interesting"
"Is it for our next show?"

I'm planning on making a show with it, but not necessarily our next one

It's going to imitate an Akumu, an extension of the embodiment of fear casted in the show
I'm thinking it should project a hologram, imitating the soul-eating nature
"This thing eats souls?!"
Rui
It stores the souls of it's victims for it's owner to later the absorb the soul's energy and break it
The owner of this creature wants to kill all monsters and embrace fear among every human in existence
"Monsters as in like the scary creatures in horror movies?!"
Rui
Not exactly for this case, they were once a civilization banished into the underground by humans
That's all I have to say for now, I'll go into further explanations once we get there
"Rui, you should sleep early today"
Rui
Because I've always stayed up late?
"Yeah, and it's not good for your health"
"It has a worse impact on your health than not eating vegetables"
"And for vegetables you can just take supplements instead"
"But sleep is irreplaceable"

When we got back to our dorm, I can feel my heart fluttering

We both passed finals and managed to graduate, but my parents said I should be more independent

The next day, after I finished my shift at the cafe, I went to the flower shop to collect the flowers I ordered and bought a pack of chocolate
I hid the flowers and the chocolate behind me, waiting for Rui
Rui
Tsukasa-kun~

"Perfect timing, I just finished getting my things"

I used spend Valentine's by myself
When you became my roommate there's always someone staying with me, even though we're nothing more than best friends
So I was thinking... if you can be my valentine this year

Rui looks as if he's about to cry

He walked forward and hugged me
We spent the rest of our day in our room, spending quality time together and watching romance animes together
