GORS VELEN - Temeria

"For fucks sake, they're were one of my best men." Stefan sinned when he saw his men laying in blood.
"Person who did that know how to use a sword.." Geralt admitted. They were staring at dead bodies in front the room of Lady Swenska.
"Their bodies are totally massacred. I've never saw so much anger used in killing." Stefan crossed his arms.
"I would say they were killed with pleasure not the anger. This wound.." Geralt knelt down next to one of dead bodies. "It was perfect cut. That soldier was immediately dead. Murderers weren't amateurs."
"Murderers? How do you know that it was more of them?" Yennefer raised his eyebrow.
Geralt stiffened but he didn't show it on himself. Her voice was like a balsamic for his ears. Every time she has spoken to him, only two times yet to be clear.. something move inside him. He didn't recognize this feeling. It was something new for him and for some reason it scared him. Not her. He wasn't scared of her. He was scared of what it was doing to him. He should really do something about it.
"Their wounds are cut in multiple ways. From different directions. It couldn't be done by just one person. Isn't it obvious?" Geralt smirked.
"No, I may be inhumanly beautiful but I don't have superhuman senses.." Yennefer used sarcastic tone. Geralt looked at her calmly but actually he was surprised by her answer. She literally sent him to the hell with her words. He decided to be rather silent and he started looking at the wounds again. He pretended that he ignored her words.
"Have you ever seen this style of technique witcher?" Stefan stepped next to him.
"Once." Geralt stood up and then knelt down to next victim and looked at soldier's neck. "But this technique is very unknown because they trying to cover it."
"Who's they?" Stefan said angrily. He hated when someone wasn't speaking clear. He's always lost his patience quickly.
"Kingslayers." Geralt opened soldier's mouth and looked inside of it. "They're organization of assassins. They're made up of a handful of witchers from the School of the Viper in the service of Niflgaard. They're Emhyr's puppets." Geralt explained.
"Why the hell would Niflgaard want to kill wife of some earl from Aedirn?"
"For many reasons.. but we need to investigate to find out more." Geralt stood up and looked at the commander.
"We should go to look inside. Maybe we will find more clues there." Vanderhout stated. Then he looked at Yennefer and offered her his arm. Yennefer smiled at him and caught his arm. They entered inside the room.
Geralt was just staring at them and wishing that he could be at Vanderhout place now.. But then the witcher quickly buried that thought and followed them.

Geralt stood up next to them and then looked at the room. Everywhere was blood. On the floor, furniture, even on the ceiling. Then he looked at the woman laying on the bed. Her body was literally destroyed. Only part which wasn't touch was her face. As he the witcher predicted her murder was everything but not quick and pain free. It was brutal.
"What kind of monster is able to did this.." Yennefer was shocked.
"Someone who doesn't have any soul." Geralt answered her. She looked at him and for the first time Geralt noticed hesitation in her face. For the first time he saw her vulnerability. He saw a fear in her eyes.
Geralt felt a need to comfort her for a second but he suppressed it.
"There's something written in there." Vanderhout came closer to the bed and took the small piece of paper. He read it loud. "We know what you did.."
"It's a threat." Yennefer said thoughtfully.
"Or a clue." the witcher added.
"What?" she was confused.
He came towards Stefan. "The soldiers were killed brutally but quickly. She was killed differently. They tortured her before she died. They wanted something from her. Some information."
"This is getting fucking complicated." Stefan growled.
"I can try Necromancy. Then we could easily find out what she was hiding." Yennefer suggested.
"It's great idea Yenna. It would solve everything." Stefan smiled under his nose.
"It would solve nothing. Necromancy is forbidden." Geralt was serious.
"And? Killing is also forbidden and everybody still does it." Yennefer smirked.
"You can't be serious.." Geralt looked at her seriously. "Necromancy have irreversible consequences."
"So does everything." she came closer to him. They were facing each other. "You kill, it has consequences. You cheat, it has consequences. You lie, it has consequences. Everything what we do has consequences. That's why it's called living.. Then do not teach me about forbidden things witcher. I know very well what is Necromancy but I'm willing to do it if we can find the murderer like that." she told him without emotions.
"You can deprive her soul of peace."
"Her soul won't find peace either if we won't find the murderer at all." she told him calmly but in her voice was also a warning.
Geralt wanted to kill her with his look. "I can find the murderer without charlatanish."
"Carefully witcher. You're playing with the fire now.." Yennefer gave him a death stare.
"Darling, let the witcher do his work first if he wants to so desperately." Stefan caught her hand and pulled her closer to him. "He certainly won't succeed, then you will use your ways." he kissed he on her cheek. Geralt was trying to stay calm but he had to use all his power not to break Stefan's mouth in that moment.
