"All right pretty boy" Marty says as Bo hands money over to Bill meaning they had a bet

"I'm never going to understand how those.. ear-playings work" Mikasa says (That's how Mikasa says airplanes, check her voice lines)

(Did she really just call airplanes 'ear-playings') Most kansens thought, except the other grannies of course

The scene perspective changes again near the Leyte as a plane passes by. Tom meets others in the area.

"All right. Three to one he misses it." Bo says

"I'll take the action" Marty says

"Bonus if he splashes?" Bo asks as Bill chuckles

"Christ Bo, we don't want him dead" Bill replies as an officer walks nearby

The plane from earlier shows again as it reveals to be Jesse's plane. The dramatic music is still playing in the background

Scene changes back to the bridge, it is shown that many black men are going outside their stations to watch, and Bo notices this.

"Looks like they wanna see Jackie Robinson steal home." Bo says

(What?) Most kansens thought not getting it

Scene back to Jesse

"Ensign Brown you're too high" An officer says over the radio

"That's a shit approach" Bo says as the scene continues with Jesse barely adjusting his plane

"Come on get your nose up" Tom says as the LSO is signalling Jesse to no avail

"Why isn't he listening to the LSO?" Marty asks as the LSO still tries to signal him but Jesse is still not looking

"There must be a reason why he isn't listening.." Bunker Hill says while Shangri-La is taking notes

The scene continues, Jesse's plane is arriving at the deck with the LSO still trying his best to signal

Jesse's plane.. does land on the deck, but it barely misses the wire

"Woah!"

"Jeez!"

"Woahhh!"

The people on the ship yell as Jesse flies out of the deck nearly hitting the other planes at the bow

"Close on landing.. and close on crashing..." Kaga says

"That was pretty close Brown. Do you wanna call it?" The officer asks as Jesse looks at the ship

"I'm coming back around" Jesse replies as his plane flies past the carrier again

"Please listen to the LSO this time.." Essex says

"Crash crew, stand by" The officer says over the PA as the men get ready with fire extinguishers

"At least they're preparing for the worst" Taihou says

Jesse again goes for another run for landing

"You're still too high Brown" The officer says as the LSO is signalling Brown again, but he still doesn't listen

"You're not in the groove" The officer says

"I'll get there" Jesse says as the LSO warns that he needs to move, Jesse listens this time as he adjusts the plane. The LSO nods signalling that he's on the right course.
