Daredevil is in the process of clearing out a safe house full of Kingpin's thugs when he receives a tip-off that the crime lord is now acting out of Gotham City. He leaves Karen and Foggy in charge of their business as he travels by train over to the city. His professional excuse that he tells his friends to give is that he needs to take a case there.
Meanwhile, Batman is investigating a new powerhouse in the city, but is unable to find a name. He then hears about a new vigilante in the city who seems to already have a reputation as Daredevil in another city. He investigates this as well but finds no extra information about who he is.
Matt hears about this Batman and does some looking into him, with help from librarians and just people willing to help a blind guy searching for information about Batman. He finds out that he's a vigilante but also finds information about Robin, which makes Daredevil fully against Batman as he is vehemently against children fighting crime.
