AN: I'll admit I am a bit nervous about this one since we're now past the half way point and getting into the more heavy stuff. Usually this is the point that makes or breaks a fic so we'll see how it goes.

You will also notice strange words in this chapter. This is because I wanted to put in the language of the angel, Enochian, in this fic and other fics. However, I was unable to copy paste the actual language into and I can't paste images of it like on Ao3 so I had to put in a rough english translation instead.

Enjoy the fic.

Disclaimer: I do not own Helluva Boss and Spiroz, Milton, and Mitzy belong to artist DaniDraws. Hedwig and her brothers are mine though.

Finding the security room was relatively easy for Hedwig and Elrohir, thanks to the mall leading them through the signs posted everywhere for the visitors. It was creepy to fly around without any noise save for the regular radio music the mall was playing without end as all the humans in the mall were dead and turned to ash. Hedwig prayed for all those who found themselves caught up in such a tragic moment, but she kept one positive thing about the entire thing. The sudden loss of so many human lives was bound to catch the attention of the Angels of Death, who would want to investigate the incident once they settled everything down. If they could hold out long enough, they could get them to come over and help them deal with the demons clearly breaking the rules.

Of course, the downside to that was that Spiro and his family would be caught up as well, and they, too, were also breaking the rules in a sense. Hopefully, they would be able to send them home before anything happened. After finding the right door, Elrohir shot the lock open and kicked the door down, revealing a mid-sized room filled with lockers, desks with computers, and other assorted office supplies such as folder draws, message boards, and a coffee maker. There were also small ash piles, which made them feel nervous about walking in and being near the remains of deceased security guards. However, they steeled themselves and focused on accessing the security cameras.

"Here we go," Hedwig said as she spotted seven monitors connected on the most extensive desk while also locked to the wall with extension bars. After quickly switching the ash-covered seat with a clear one, Hedwig sat down and looked at the monitors showing various cameras throughout the mall. "Now, how do we operate it?"

"Should we find an instruction manual?" Elrohir asked.

Hedwig figured it was worth a shot and started opening the desk's drawers before finding a large pamphlet labeled "For New Beginners At Cross Stars Mall." Opening it gave quick brief details on how to operate the camera system as a cheat guide for new employees. Testing the controls a bit, Hedwig smiled upon seeing the monitors change from a camera in a woman's clothing department store to a video game store while also accessing the zoom feature.

"Okay, I think I got it," Hedwig claimed before she took out her phone and called Spiroz and her other older brother in a shared call. After a few seconds, both picked up, and she put her phone's speaker on., and put it on speaker. Once they answered, she said, "Spiro? Elladan? Elrohir and I managed to access the security cameras."

"Can you see us?" Spiroz asked.

Hedwig quickly flipped through the cameras until she saw Spiroz, Loona, and Milton right by the Mall's movie theater near the entrance while Elladan and Mitzy were hiding behind some plants nearby an Applebees. "Yeah, I see you both right now. Any sign of the demons?"

"None that I can...wait, hold on," Elladan spoke, making Hedwig tense. "Can you check what's ahead of us? Down by the Johnny Rocket's?"

Hedwig checked on the monitors and saw five cybernetic demons checking out the place before going in. One of them was standing guard while his comrades searched the establishment before exiting to move to the Chipotle's next to it. "Yeah, they seem to be checking every restaurant as they make their way down to you. They're about eight restaurants ahead of you."
