I looked behind me to find Ash holding a second gun and pointing it at where Caitlyn and I were previously standing. He held no emotion on his face as he stared at me. I could hear coughing coming from behind me but one question ran through my mind.

"Why?" I asked Caitlyn; you could see she only had a second of life left.

"I-I wanted to play a game." She let out one last whimper before her eyes shut, telling me that she left us. I quickly looked over to the bomb.

"10 minutes." I say looking at Ash with fear in my eyes.

"We have to stop the bomb." He stated before running over to Caitlyn's body and searching through her pockets. Annie and Tyler came running over, panting.

"What happened?" Tyler asked between breaths.

"We don't have time for that right now, what does matter is disabling the bomb." After another two minutes Ash pulled out a key and wire cutters. I crawled over to the bomb, which had five wires hanging out of the top.

"Red, blue, yellow, green, or purple?" I questioned looking back at the group. The all had a hint of terror in their eyes and didn't answer. Ash still held in his hand the wire cutters but the key was given to Annie.

"I took a class on wires once, I think me doing it is our only hope at this point." Tyler stated taking the cutters from Ash. I was still sitting in front the bomb, blocking his path.

"Please, let me try." He stared me right in my eyes and I knew I could trust him. I look at the time before moving out of the way. We had four minutes to disable the bomb, but if he cut the wrong wire, we had no time. I was shaking badly worried that he wouldn't choose the correct one.

Everyone looked nervous but the most we could do was wait. Tyler stared at the wires, knowing that now everyone's lives were in his hands. He opened the wire cutters and put them on the red wire. My eyes widened, why would he choose the red wire? Usually the red one is the incorrect. His hands were shaking worse than mine were but he was running out of time and needed to cut it quick.

The room was silent aside from the beeping of the bomb ticking away our time. Tyler steadied his hand and started to push the cutters slowly, but surely cutting the wire. He yanked down hard on the tool snapping the cord in two.

The bomb started making a high pitched squeal, so loud that we all had our hands on our ears. I started to scream; he cut the wrong wire now we were waiting for the explosion to end our lives.

"I'm sorry!" Tyler screamed with sympathy in his eyes, trying to be louder than my screams. I shut my eyes as hard as I could, wishing I had taken the night shift and not had gotten kidnapped, or that I simply took a job in my home town. But those were just what ifs and I knew none of that mattered at this moment. What did matter was what I had or have. I started counting my blessings trying not to think about the fact that my life was going to be over.

Then I realized something; it stopped. The screech was gone, it was silent. No bomb, no screaming, just silence. I slowly opened my eyes to see the bomb still there, but the time was replaced with a blank screen.

"Y-you did it." I said looking over at Tyler, trying to regain myself.

"I did?" He had something in his eyes that I haven't seen from any of us since we got here; happiness. I started to tear up, we were finally safe. We disabled the bomb and killed the kidnapper, we just had to find where the key goes.

"Did you guys ever find where the key went?" I was looking at all of them with hope in my eyes. Annie smiled and nodded which made me smile back.

"Let's go then, I don't want to be here any longer than necessary." With that they started to walk towards a wooden ladder leaning against a crate. Annie took the lead and quickly made her way to the top, stepping onto the crate and moving aside for us to get up.
