Jeez, I never really knew that the engineering industry would be this stressful. If I had known, I would've picked another career path.

But yet, here I am, working at this office in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland, working as a civil engineer in the structural engineering field. Although it looks and sounds like fun.

Getting to design houses, buildings, and other stuff. You don't get to see what I must go through each day of the year.

What you don't see is all the other things that happen to you. You'll have to get through meetings, long work hours, projects, a ton of headaches and migraines, and a coffee mug full of stress.

And for the projects, they sometimes have very tight deadlines. Like, say you just got assigned to do a blueprint or a chart of something. And you have to do it by the end of the week or a few days.

With my busy schedule, some of you might think it's not that bad. It makes things worse.

But not it is all bad, however.

The pay here is good, up to 1k a week where I live.

Everyone here is very friendly to you if you be nice to them back.

But there's especially one great thing I like about working here.

But I need to talk about that later. Cuz I need to get this slideshow done for this meeting, I have this evening.

It's about how offers are going up and how we must keep up with demand for our designs.

Don't worry, I'm almost done. Just need to put the finishing touches to make it more professional. By that, I mean a bit of detail to each slide.

But before I could get back to work, I felt a light tap on my shoulder.

I turned to see who it was, only to see the person that made me love working here.

Standing right in front of me is my boss. Aaron Truesdale the hottest guy I've ever seen.

Ever since I started working here last year, I've always found myself thinking about him.

About how handsome he was and how I wished that he was my boyfriend.

I know, quite cheesy of me to think about these things. But how can you blame me? He's such a hot and fine guy!

His looks, his body, and everything else in between. They all deserved to be worshiped and appreciated.

"Carter? Are you ok?" I hear his voice ask, snapping me out of my thoughts, "you seem a bit out of it."

"Oh! Uh, yes, I'm ok!" I then blurted out, "I'm sorry, we're you saying something? Cuz, I might've zoned out a bit."

"Hehe, well I was just asking you about the slides that we need for the meeting at five. You know, to see how it's doing and to make sure that we have everything on there," he explained, looking over at my screen to see my work.

"Oh, yes I am finished. Just getting the final details on the slides" I then said, "if you wanna look, then you're free to do so."
