Daisy's Experience in the Canal...

Daisy felt the freezing water envelop her, her lungs filling with water. She closed her eyes peacefully, resigned to her fate.

Suddenly, she felt herself being pulled out of the water. Opening her eyes, she found herself on dry land, facing four unfamiliar boys.

One of the boys said, "Hey, we saved you."

Daisy's POV
The boys looked disheveled. I sat up and said, "Thanks for saving me," though a part of me had been ready to die. I started to get up, but one boy grabbed my arm, saying, "Not so fast, babygirl."
Angry and scared, I grabbed a stone, threw it at him, and started running. Dizziness overwhelmed me, but I kept running. Suddenly, I collided with a solid chest. Apologizing, I was about to run again when the three other men caught up.

Man1: "She is ours. Leave her."
Man2: "Yeah, leave her, or we'll kill you."

The man removed his black mask, revealing his face.

All three men exclaimed in unison, "Ace."

Daisy's POV
I recognized him instantly as the famous businessman, Ace Dankworth. Known for rejecting his family's billion-dollar inheritance to start his own company, he was a sensation among the girls at my college. He was tall, with deep black eyes, a sharp jawline, perfect nose, and lips. But something about those eyes seemed familiar.

He was dressed in all black—shirt, trousers, and a long coat.

Ace's POV
After dealing with the men, I looked at her. I recognized her immediately. She was still beautiful, her Bambi-like eyes now tinged with loneliness. Her features were perfect—nose, lips, long black hair. She was wearing a wet white top, revealing a red undergarment. I removed my coat and draped it around her, noticing her tears.

Ace: "What are you doing here alone?" in a cold tone
Daisy: "I was pushed into the canal."
Ace: "Okay."
Daisy: "Can you tell me the way out?"
Ace: "Come with me."
Daisy: "What?"
Ace: "I'll help you, but there's something I want in return. I'll give these men a one-million-dollar check."

Daisy's eyes darkened, but she sensed he wasn't a bad person.

Ace's POV
SHE'S THAT GIRL..
