A dark streak of red exploded across the horizon, painting the sky with the vibrance that can only be held in daybreak. A sliver of light appeared over the land, illuminating the snowy hills leading up to the high castle.

Twelve broad, round towers surround the castle, they reach twice the height of the walls and are connected by enormous, wide walls of a black stone. Grand windows are scattered across the walls in a symmetric pattern, along with huge crenelations for archers and artillery.

A vast gate with giant metal doors and various artillery equipment guards the stronghold along the rough, jagged shoreline and is the only way in, at least without taking down the castle walls.

Huge statues of heroes and emperors decorate the bridge outside, memories of glories of the past. This castle has stood the test of time and still stands, appearing like it will do so for many years to come.

To any outsider, the castle was a magnificent fortress of strength and grace. A place that problems didn't exist and everyone lived pampered and protected, free from the toils of illness and fear.

The castle, however, was in disaster. The emperor had caught the plague, the prinzessin was nowhere to be found, and the prinz, as usual, was not listening to reason.

"Prinz Axis! Please wait, I cannot allow you into your fathers chambers, he's very contagious!" Colin, royal advisor of several years, trailed after the prinz, calling out to them as they stormed into the north wing.

Axis didn't listen, instead running down the hall of their fathers wing. They, as per usual, didn't stop to look at the beautifully carved walls, etched with famous figures and battles of past, instead just storming forth. They stopped before the locked door, trying the handle only to find it locked. A small maid stood in front of the door, nearly fainting at the sight of the prinz.

The maid was clearly a Valorian, with his dark hair and eyes. Perhaps even more clear was that the boy was an omega, and a particularly cute one at that. He wasn't striking as many Valorians were described to be, but he was certainly pretty in a softer, more fragile way. He was petite and frail, but still had some meat where it mattered, like his hips, and round face. His bones jutted from under his skin, the maid outfit ill-fitting on his thin body, hardly secure to his shoulders.

"Key. Now." Axis growled lowly at the omega maid, ivory fangs glinting a faint yellow in the lantern light. They closed in on him, till the two were close enough to smell each theres breath. Axis towered over him even still, glaring down.

Richard almost pissed his pants at the sight of the stronger alpha. Axis's blue eyes peirced through him with an unreined fury and hatred that was exclusive only to the prinz, obvious strength in their harsh appearance. They couldnt be a year over 20, though their eyes seemed to contain a millennium of war, their face already etched scars of battles long won. He could hardly speak at the sight of the terrifying prinz, but managed to whimper out, "I-I-I-I don't have it my lord!"

He tried to move away, his eyes flying down onto his black shoes, and the chain between his ankles that ensured that he could not run.

The blonde fixed their rage-filled gaze at the smaller boy, grabbing him by the chin and forcing Richard to look at them, "Then who does." They snarled out, sinking sharpened claws into the omegas soft rosy cheeks.

"S-sorry a-alpha," He stuttered out, dark eyes panicked, threatening to spill tears down his face, "I'm no-not allowed to-to tell yo-"

"I have it." The maid was cut off, a new voice appearing from the corridor. She made a grand entrance, filling the area around her with magic-induced light, "Now why don't we let the poor little maid on his way."
