I shook off the thought and looked at my cousin. "So...what've you been up to Haley?"I asked
She grinned "Well, you know this is my last year in high school so I've been looking into colleges, my dad is gonna pay for it out of pocket so I'm tryna make sure I pick a pretty good one"
"Are you ready for college?" I asked
Haley laughed "I'm never ready for anything I just deal with things as they come"
"I feel that" I nodded
Haley twisted her lips to the side and looked at me. "Liah, I don't know if you wanna talk about it but...how do you feel since Kentrell is locked up"
I sighed deeply "well for one, being in jail never stopped Kentrell from getting things done he always have his friends in Chicago, but in all honesty I kinda feel like Kentrell is where he needs to be..."
"After all he put you through, you really left him?"
"Yeah, you said that one day I would come to my senses and I did...me and Toya just packed up and left Chicago..of course when Kentrell found out I left he wasn't so happy"I shrugged
I filled her in on everything about Kentrell and what he did to me since I moved to Florida.
"wait, so...he basically kidnapped you twice?"She questioned
"Yeah, I didn't call the cops the first time because I thought I killed him...turns out I didn't, he faked his death and came back for me-"
"And that's when he took you to Cuba?"Haley said
I nodded "yup"
"Damn, I can't believe he was really THAT crazy..."
"Yeah, but honestly I'm glad I met Kentrell"I smiled
Haley frowned "why would you be happy that you met his crazy ass?"
"Because if he wasn't such a horrible man to me, I wouldn't know what a good one feels like"I smiled

A few hours later my Dad and Haley left, I closed the door and locked it. I walked in my bedroom seeing Jahseh watching Xiorra sleeping in her crib
"Don't ever run off like that again" Jahseh said without looking at me
"I'm sorry"
Jahseh leaned up and turned around. I walked closer to him and gazed into his bright brown eyes. I pulled him into a tight firm hug which I know caught him off guard but he sealed his arms around me and squeezed me lightly.
"I love you Jahseh, and I'm sorry"
"Stop saying sorry you know I'm not mad"Jahseh said
"I just- I was talking to Haley about Kentrell and everything I went through with him and I just...love you"
