"You don't have to stay up with me, I know you're stressed." I said as he chuckled. "I'm stressed but I just got you back. I'm gonna sit with you." He said then kissed my head.
"I can't believe we're doing this." I said with a sigh. "I never thought I would see you again." Colby said as I looked up at him.
"That's what you wanted." I said as he shook his head. "It's what I thought needed to happen. I was really fucking dumb." He said with a sigh.
"The dumbest." I said then shivered, feeling my stomach flip again.
"Fuck." I mumbled then sat up so I could throw up again.
"Have you ever been this sick from alcohol before?" Colby asked as I shook my head.
"Not the biggest drinker." I mumbled then leaned back into his embrace. "I doubt you wanted to because of your addiction." Colby said as I nodded.
"And I was taking care of the kids. Do you think I'll ever get to see them again?" I asked and looked up at him.
"I don't know, Jules." He said quietly, rubbing my arm gently.
"If I can't help you with this, maybe I can help them." I said as a sad look crept on his face.
"You said your mom took them from you. How did she die that?" Colby asked as I frowned.
"She took me to court. They said I wasn't allowed to interact with them anymore." I said as my eyes watered.
I hated thinking about the tragedy that was my siblings lives. They legally wouldn't be free from her for a long time.
"If the law is involved, I can't help. I'm sorry, Julia." Colby said as I nodded. "I understand." I said then closed my eyes, leaning my head on his chest again.
We ended up laying on the bathroom floor all night.
I was puking on and off all night which sucked but it was a good way to get me to not drink so much again.
I really never was a drinker so that's why it hit me so hard this time.
I felt bad for Colby since he slept as shittily as I did, but he was so sweet about it.
"Here, Jules. Take one of these then we'll get some breakfast for you." Colby said and handed me some ibuprofen.
"Thank you, please hide those." I said and pointed to the bottle of pills.
They weren't the most addictive pill to ever exist and I could usually take them without an issue but I didn't trust myself.
"Don't worry. Everything is locked up." Colby said and turned to put the pill bottle away.
"Is the passcode your birthday?" I asked as he chuckled. "No, smart ass." He said then held his hands out to help me up.
"I got you some stuff to do while we're gone." Colby said as I started brushing my teeth.
"That's sweet." I said with a small smile. "Just don't want you getting bored. Corey will be here with you today but there's gonna be some days I need all three of them." Colby said as I nodded.
Once I was done brushing my teeth, we made our way to the living room so Colby could show me what he got me.
"So I started off simple and got you some canvases and paints. I also got some books for you to read." He said and started pulling stuff from the bags he had on the counter.
"I also got you some movies and here are some snacks." He said causing me to laugh. "You're really cute." I said as his phone rang.
"Ah, it's Sam." He said then brought the phone to his ear. "Hey, man. No. Come on up. Yeah, I'm not sure. Okay, bye." He said then hung up.
"What's the plan for today?" I asked and went to sit on the couch.
"Not sure. Still suspicious of Will, but don't know how to go about it." He said with a sigh and opened the cabinet so he could grab his protein powder.
"That's tough. I'm sure things will come to light eventually." I said as someone knocked on the door.
Colby sighed then went to answer the door to see Sam, Jake, and Corey.
"Wow, you look like shit." Sam said as Colby rolled his eyes.
"Thanks." He said as Sam looked at me. "Oof- you look even worse." He said causing me to laugh and flip him off.
"She drank a whole bottle of tequila so she was probably fucked up." Jake said as I gagged. "Don't say the t word." I said and put my hand on my mouth.
"No puking today. Fuck that." Corey said as I shook my head. "Just don't bring up that word and we're good." I said then stood up.
"I'm gonna shower, then we can head out." Colby said to the guys then disappeared into the bedroom.
"Sorry, he's gonna be in a bad mood." I said as Jake chuckled. "He's kinda fun to poke when he's mad." He said as I shook my head.
"I hope I'm invited to your funeral." I said with a yawn.
"He'll be fine." Sam said and sat next to me. "Just make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. It'll piss me off if he dies now." I said as he chuckled.
"Yeah, me too. He's better at his job than he thinks he is." Sam said with a reassuring nod.
I wanted to believe him when he said that but I've seen Colby make fatal mistakes before.
It would kill me if he was hurt or killed from something that was my fault.
