⌗38 ACCEPTANCE

Lifting your right hand you waved over Yelena. Her eyes went wide as she stared at your outstretched arm. Heads turned to look at the red envelope, which placed a silent wave over everyone. It took her a second to realize what you were doing. With a tight nod she walked over, careful not to step on any hands.

As she got closer, you used your left hand to gently push Erens hands away. Receiving the message he slipped his hands from your waist. Pushing yourself off the ground he shadowed his hand behind your back in case you fell.

Turning to face Yelena, you took the envelope from her grasp. Looking down at it you used your pointer finger to rip the tab. Once it was opened you slightly turned your head. There was no paper.

The weight of the envelope was heavy which caused you to turn it upside down. A metal fell into your hand, it was freshly cold. Pocketing the envelope you let the silver chain rest between your pointer and thumb. Bringing up the piece of jewelry you let the small red envelope dangle between yours and Yelena's faces.

"You're late." Pon stated as he watched you trudge in.

You let out a small breath, turning around to close the door. Ignoring him, you stared at the figure to the right. "Hange I thought you weren't coming until later?"

Their eyes trailed off to glare at the blonde in the living room. "Yelena wanted me to be early."

You hummed walking towards the table. The two sat on the same side as Pon eyed the brown bag in your hand. "What's that?"

"Present for Cora." You replied while setting the bag down.

Extending your hand, you grabbed onto a chair and pulled it out. Taking a seat you turned your head to the side with a raised brow, "Where is she?"

"Bathroom." A voice uttered from behind you.

Leaning more into your chair you tilted your head to the right. Yelena held a cup filled to the brim with what you assumed was a strawberry smoothie. She lifted the cup and attached her lips to the straw. The black lip piercing pocked out as she took sips.

"Where's my smoothie?!" Hange cried out.

The blonde shrugged as she took a seat next to you.

A door swung open as a brunette walked out. Her eyes were focused on the device in her hand as she walked over to the dining room table. Her thumbs fiddled over the screen sending out a text before she looked up. Her eyes went straight to you, and her lips quivered into a smile. "Y/n, you made it!"

"Barley." Pon muttered quietly.

Looking over at the male you gave him a nasty look before smiling at the female. Glancing over at the table you picked up the paper bag. Waving it in the air you handed it over to Cora. "Here I got you something."

Her eyes slightly widened as she looked at the bag. The smile on her face grew as she rushed to grab it. Once it was in her possession she tossed the white tissue paper out of the sack. As it floated down to the floor her hand reached in to grab onto a rectangular red box.

Pulling it out of the bag she inspected the gold that lined the rim of the box. It glistened under the cool light. Lifting up the top of the box, she placed the lid onto the wooden table.

A small gasp left her lips as she stared down at the jewelry. A silver chain that shined brightly, twisted in the box. The long strand of interlocked chains tangled with each other as it let the charm take the spotlight. Right at the bottom of the box sat a red envelope charm.
