3rd POV

'Don't judge me. I told them it wasn't that big of a deal. Everyone knows hot springs are a boomer thing. But Miya swore this particular one was known for miraculously healing injuries. So... we all hopped a ferry to Miyakojima where this miracle spring is located. Better be worth it.'

On a ferry that had departed from Okinawa, a certain redhead who was leaning against the railing had his eyes set on a very pretty girl who is observing the beautiful scenery of the large body of water in front of her. He wants to go and talk to her, but he doesn't have the bravery to do so. He didn't know how long he was staring at the girl with his chin resting on his palm because he wasn't aware of what was going on around him.

"She's hot."

The sound of someone talking snapped him out of his thoughts. From beside him, Langa leans forward to look at Reki with an emotionless facial expression. "You're so obvious," he says. Reki grunts in embarrassment as he looks away.

"Like you would know," the redhead mumbles, but loud enough for the snowboarder to hear.

In between Langa and Reki, a (h/c)-haired girl leans back with her phone in hand and her backpack hanging from her shoulders with all of her valuable things as she looks in the direction her friend was previously looking at. She lifts an eyebrow at the sight of the young woman on the other side of the platform.

"Pretty... girl," (Y/n) says in Japanese, practicing her knowledge of the language so far. A few days ago, Langa had helped to download an app on her phone to help her study more Japanese words, and she's been practicing every day ever since.

Miya then appears behind Reki after hearing the nine-year-old speak of the lady. "So that's what you like," he says as he observes the girl's features.

"Don't waste your time. She's not into you," Hiromi says as he walks up to the group with his arms crossed over his chest. Reki gets annoyed as he looks at the guy.

"How can you be so sure when I haven't talked to her yet, stupid?" the redhead asks him. The only thing Hiromi does as a response is a gesture for the teen to go to her with a blank look on his face.

Reki turned back to look at the girl, brushing away the fear as he started walking towards the girl. But that confidence soon faded as he stops for a moment and then looks back at his light-blue-haired friend.

"Langa, go say hi to her," he whispers in his direction, which confuses the said boy. "Why? This is your thing," Langa tells Reki, almost in a complaining way. He didn't want to be dragged into Reki's situation because he had nothing to do with it.

"I need a wingman," Reki says. He then looks down at (Y/n), who was now focused on her phone and learning new Japanese words. "And take (Y/n) with you. All girls like cute kids and she'll definitely get her attention. So that way, I look cool and not desperate," the redhead explains as he rests his arms around Langa and (Y/n)'s shoulders, which gets the child's attention as she looks up at her friend with curiosity.

On the side, Miya tries to hold back his laughter with his hand covering his mouth as a cat-like smirk spreads across his face. "Glad to know what your weakness is," he says in a low voice, but Reki heard him and got annoyed again.

"Shut it!" he yells to the cat boy.

"What's the best way to talk to a girl here?" Langa then asks, which gets the group's attention as they all look at him. Reki thinks for a few seconds before he responds to his friend.

"Just ask her some questions, ya know," the redhead says as a bright and positive aura appears around him as he smiles sweetly. This causes Langa to copy his facial expression with the same aura appearing around him.
