(This is how you trick the world. One day the truth will be out... That day I will have the last laugh.)

"Seri modhala saapdu"

(Sure... but eat first.)

Thalapathy would have stomped his foot if he wasn't already seated. So, he settled for a  pout. Maaran chuckled looking at his parents, he was yet to actually know that this was the sign of how in love his parents were. But he could already feel it and he enjoyed it.

Vetrimaaran's pout evaporated into smile as he ruffled his son's hair. Aishu's smile reached her eyes as she savored in the sight of her boys.  She secretly wished to tell them that soon maaran was going to have a little sibling, but she wanted to thoroughly check before telling Thalapathy.

Thalapathy's mind held this moment as not just a memory, but a treasure. He was a content man. With his better half, his boy and his 21 other kids waiting to be born. Life was perfect.  If he was asked to wish for something, he wouldn't ask for anything except for this happiness to last all life.

That night, in bed, Maaran sleeps in between him and aishu. He was a growing boy and had a lot of energy to spend. He was only 4 and there was a  whole year before they would send him off to school. Not that Thalapathy wanted to, but Maaran needed to grow and spread his wings. As much as he wanted to never let his first born go.

He is brought out of his inner ramblings with  a firm push and a demanding 'ayya' from Maaran. He was a very polite and pleasant boy but he did have a lot of energy to spent. "Enna da?" he asked  turning to face him.

"Murugan irukan la..." he asked narrating.

"Aama irukan" Thalapathy answered already knowing the pattern, "Eppovum unkooda vilayaaditu irupan."

"Aama..." Maaran nodded and then continued. "Innaiku murugan veettuku ponapo... avanoda aatha iruka la..."

"Aama iruka"

"Avanoda aatha azhudhukite irundha..."

"Yean?"

"Avan annan irukan la...."

"Aama irukan"

"Avanaala dhaan... bewakoof."

Vetrimaaran laughed out loud at the usage of the foreign but well known insult while Aishu immediately scolded maaran to never use the word again. "Nee dhaana di avanuku solli kudutha" He teased. "Thalapathy..." She said with a glare chastising them both.

"Seri.. Murugan oda annan.. adhaan andha" he laughed mischievously and looked at Aishu who was sending him heated glares warning him not to use the word again. Thalapathy chuckled and decided he has teased her enough, so he relented and said, "Avan enna pannan?"

"Avan ooru vittu poitaan ahm..."

"Edhey?!" Thalapathy asked in surprise.

"Padippu kaaga veliyoor poitaan" Aishu supplied curing her husband's shock.

"Oh" Thalapathy sighed in relief. Which didn't go unnoticed by maaran.
