"He's always here" (Dora & Diego)

"Where is Perrito now, Papi?" Alicia asked.

"The veterinarians took Him, Your Tío Cole and Tía Elena are planning to make a funeral about Him" Nico explained.

"Can We go and visit Dora? Like right now?" Diego asked. Both Nico and Sabrina nodded their heads.

And just like that, off They went, They went off to go and visit Dora's house. Once They got there, Both Cole and Elena greeted Them, expect for Dora.

Diego looked around and saw the empty dog bed, It was Perrito's bed, It was so weird and strange for Him not having a puppy greet Him first at the door and licking His face all over.

Diego turn around and saw that Alicia had put Luca down, Luca crawled over to Perrito's bed, She stopped and stared at the bed. Luca first looked at Alicia and then back at the bed.

"I think Luca knows that Perrito is gone..." Cole said.

Diego sighs Sadly but then His attention was turn towards Dora's bedroom door, it was close shut, Diego looked back at His parents.

"Where's Dora?" Diego asked.

"In Her bedroom" Elena said. Diego sighs and He went over to Dora's bedroom, He gently knocked on the door but There's no reply.

"Prima?" Diego asked, He gently turn the door knob and open the door. Once He did, He saw His little cousin on the bed, crying Her eyes out, Boots was there too, He was trying to comfort Her.

Boots eyes widened open once He saw Diego, He quickly went over.

"Diego, I'm happy You're here!" Boots said while hugging Diego tightly. Diego can tell that Boots was crying Himself because of the stained up tears on His face.

"It's Okay Boots, I can handle this" Diego said softly, Boots looked at Him and nodded His head and He walked out of the bedroom, Diego went over and sat down on Dora's bed.

Dora was holding Her legs close to Her chest, She had Her head down, Diego saw that She was crying for a long time.

"Prima?" Diego asked softly, He gently placed His hand on Her head.

"H-He can't be gone, He...He just can't..." Dora shuttered, She was choking from the tears falling down Her cheeks, She was also trembling a little.

Diego hated seeing His little cousin like this, He sat next to Her and He hugged Her in His embrace, He gently gave Her a kiss on the forehead and rested His head on Her head.

"I didn't want to believe it too, Prima..." Diego said.

"C-Can You bring Him back?" Dora asked. Diego was hoping that Dora wasn't gonna ask that kind of question, it already was killing Him that He couldn't bring the little puppy back.

What kind of animal rescuer is He if He doesn't bring an animal back to life?

"I-I am so sorry, Prima but I can't" Diego said sadly, that made Dora cried harder, Diego tried His best to calm Her down, by holding Her close and Humming Her a song, also gently rocking Her slowly.

After a few minutes, Dora calmed down a little, She looked up and Diego saw how Emotionally His little cousin was, Her eyes were red and puffy, Her faced was all stained up with dried up tears.

"Are You alright?" Diego asked.

"No...I won't see Perrito again..." Dora said.

"That's not true, please don't say that, He's always here, in Our heart, He is still alive, always in with Us" Diego said, Dora looked at Her big cousin.

"Really?" Dora asked.

Diego smiled softly and nodded His head.

Diego took Dora to the bathroom so She can wash Her face, Boots joined Them Once He saw them walked into the bathroom. After that, The three of them went out for a walk in the forest.

As They were walking, Dora saw a couple of children were playing with their dog, it made Dora really sad, So Both Diego and Boots decided to take Dora somewhere else.

The three of them stopped by the cliff and sat down to watch the sun was setting down and stars were coming in the sky.

Dora looked at a star that was shining so brightly, She believe that it was Her puppy becoming a star now and He was now up in the sky watching over them.

Tears came into Her eyes and a smile grew on Her face.

'He lives in Me' Dora Said Softly and Both Boots and Diego hugged Dora gently as The three of them watched the stars.

(A/N: Hey guys, I'm really sorry for not updating, writer blocks and other things and also, The reason why I made this short story is because, back in early December, a week before My birthday, Me and My parents had to put Our dog "Charlie" down because He was getting so old and We didn't want Him to suffer anymore, It's been rough knowing that He isn't here anymore, but I know that He is still here in Our hearts.)

(So just a little reminder for anyone who is going through putting their pet down or their pet passed away. I just wanna tell You guys that You're not alone, please take all of the time You need to get through, sometimes it takes days, weeks, months or years, no matter everyone need to take it their own time and paced, Always remember that they will always in You in Your heart)

(And also, I did watch that episode of American dad, the episode where Steve's dog died and even though I don't like American Dad that much, that episode just scarred Me for life)

(Anyways, again if anyone who is going through something similar or is about to, then You are not alone, We all have to say goodbye to Our love ones even if it hurts, there will be a time for a goodbye)
