I was hanging off Sirius' back, upside down as he held my ankles,
I laughed" Sirius! Don't drop me!"
He said" I won't, I won't! Don't worry, Nugget." Remus walked up,
He said" Hi, Sirius. Maisie, what- Never mind, I wouldn't like to know." Sirius and I laughed," Bloody hell. Put her down."
I said" No! Don't!"
" What are you two doing?"
Sirius said" Testing an idea!" He moved and grabbed his broom, he put my legs on it," Up!" The broom started levitating,
I laughed" Whoa!" I floated in the air, I laughed," It worked!"
" Yes! James owes us five galleons!"
" Give me a whizzbee!" Sirius put a whizzbee in my mouth, I floated as it melted. I grabbed onto the broom, I grinned." We did it! Can we go show James now?"
" Yes! Come down." I came down, he lifted me off the broom and grabbed it, he kissed Remus then took my hand and we ran.
Remus yelled" Be careful!"
" We will, we will!"

I was laughing as I hung upside down on the broom, I ate a whizzbee and floated up, grabbing onto the broom and sitting normally.
James said" Bloody hell! You two figured out how to do it, huh?"
Sirius said" Galleons!"
I said" Galleons!"
" She's become my little puppet!"
James said" No!"
" Yes!" I laughed as I went down, Sirius lifted me up and put me down, I bounced around him.
" How many whizzbee's has she had today?"
" She will crash... and burn in a few hours."
" Ah, fantastic!" He laughed," How ya feelin', Nugget?"
I said" Am I still in the air?" I laughed, spinning around,
" Wow, she's loaded up with sugar."
Sirius said" Yes! Now, hand over the bloody galleons!"
" Fine, fine!" He handed over the galleons, I slipped and sat down, laughing," Are you okay, Maisie?"
I said" Yes! Can we go to Honeyduke's?"
" Oh. No, no, no, that will be a tomorrow trip. Now, wanna go drink some water and eat some... starch? Soak up all that sugar?"
" No!"
" Yeah... figured... Sirius, you're on Nugget duty!"
Sirius said" Fine! Come on, Nugget, let's go run around the forest."

I was jumping off tree roots, running around the forest,
Sirius laughed" Come'er!" I kept running around, we were just outside the paddock. Sirius laughed," Are you tired yet?"
I laughed" No!"
" Alright! Have fun." I was being silly, balancing on tree roots, then I seen something move among the trees, I looked closer.
" Sirius?" Then I saw a wizard," Hello? Sirius!"
" What's wrong?! Where are you?" I screamed as I felt my body being cut, I cried out." Maisie?!" He ran up, I coughed up blood," No! Protego!" My eyes rolled back-

Sirius' POV
I ran up to Maise, I saw another wizard out, he pulled the cloak over his face, he held out his wand. Maisie coughed up blood, I noticed the blood on her clothes.
I said" No! Protego!" I blasted the wizard back, Maisie fainted, I caught her," Love?" I whimpered and lifted her up, taking off for the castle." Maisie! Maisie! Wake up! You need to open your eyes right now, my love! Wake up!"

I slid into the corridor,
I screamed" Help! Help?!" I kept running, breathing heavily," Maisie? Maisie! Wake up! Please! Wake up!"

I ran into the hospital wing,
I said" She's been attacked!" Madam Pomfrey ran up,
She said" Oh, dear! Lay her down, lay her down." I laid her on the bed, breathing heavily," What's happened? Who did this to her?" I shook my head, staring at Maisie," Minerva! Albus! A student has been attacked." She began working on her, I grew angry, I gripped my wand tightly.
Minnie said" Mr. Black..."
I said" There's a wizard on school grounds, Minnie... he attacked her..."
Dumbledore said" Minerva, stay with Mr. black and Ms. Chadwick." He walked off, I breathed out,
Minnie said" Mr. Black, what happened?"
I said" We were down by the paddock, she likes it down there, she was running off some sweets. She was jumping off the tree roots, she hollered my name, then screamed... he attacked her, wordlessly and wandless."
" Oh, dear." She rushed off, I sat on the bed, staring at Maisie.

My shoulder was shaken, I sat up, squeezing my eyes shut then opening them.
Madam Pomfrey said" She lost a lot of blood, Mr. Black. She's being taken to Mungo's."
I said" What?! No, no, she needs to stay here."
" I have kept her stable." Professor Dumbledore came in," She's ready, sir."
" No! I'll go with her."
Dumbledore said" Her Aunt, Uncle, sister and cousin will be meeting me there, you can visit tomorrow, Mr. Black. Go inform your friends."

I walked into the common room,
James said" Oi! Where's Mai- What the hell?!" He, Remus and Peter ran to me as I was covered in blood,
I said" Sh-She was attacked... by a strange wizard, I should have kept a closer eye on her, James!"
" Hey, hey! It's not your fault, mate." He hugged me, I just laid my head on his shoulder, unable to process.

Maisie's POV
I woke up,
I said" Siri-" I opened my eyes and saw I wasnt with Sirius," Sirius?!" I saw my Aunt," Wh-What? Where Am I?"
She said" Shh, shh, darling, you're at St. Mungo's... you were attacked, do you remember?" I remember... I nodded my head slowly," Yes? That's good, that's good. You're safe now, Maisie."
Monty said" Who's Sirius?"
I said" My friend, is he okay?"
" We don't, kid. Dumbledore only brought you."
" Oh. That's good, right?"
" Yes, it is. Now, rest, okay?" I nodded my head, laying back down, closing my eyes, trying to rest.

I said" When can I leave, Monty?" I played with his hand, it's been three days, I was staring at the potion in the IV bag.
He said" Soon." Then I heard running, the door opened and I grinned as I saw my friends.
" James! Sirius! Remus! Peter!"
James said" Bloody hell, Nugget! Gave us a right scare, huh?"
Peter said" The girls send this!" He held up a flower crown and ribbons,
Remus said" And we bring the best gift basket Honeyduke's could muster!"
Sirius said" Are you alright?"
I said" Yeah, sorta." I held out my arms, asking for a hug, he walked over and hugged me." Are you?"
" Yeah, I'm brilliant."
James said" Stop hogging her, Pads!"
Monty said" Who're you lot?"
" The marauders. You're Monty, yeah? Heard loads!"
Peter said" Heard she got you with an acid pop." Monty looked at me,
I said" Petey, you've signed my death certificate."
" Oops. Sorry, darling."
Monty said" These are your friends?"
I said" Yeah!" I grinned, Sirius moved away and James hugged me, kissing my head.
" Do you have any friends your age?" I shy'd away, hiding my face against James' stomach. James rubbed my back,
He said" The girls made you a flower crown and brought you ribbon to play with. While your best mates, actually liking you, brought you loads of sweets." I giggled,
Remus said" So many sweets, you'll grow ill!" I laughed, I looked at the basket, grinning, Peter put the flower crown on my head.
Peter said" There we go! A queen shouldn't be without her crown."
James and Sirius said" Queen Nugget of the Marauders!"
I said" You're silly."
" Yeah, we are!"

I was dozing off, holding onto James' arm as he laid next to me, my face nuzzled against his arm.

James' POV
Once Maisie fell asleep, Monty had been staring at us,
I said" Yes?"
He said" You lot shouldn't be friends with an 11 year old."
Remus said" Well, we're the only ones who treat her like she's a bloody human, so, if it wasn't for us, she'd have no one."
" What's that supposed to mean?"
Sirius said" Your brother and her sister have abandoned her since she was sorted into Slytherin. The Slytherins treat her like she's a disease, you know... 'cause they think she's a coward for hiding in a wardrobe."
" She's no coward."
" Yeah, we know. And that's what we tell her every single time she cries."
I said" She loves us, alright? And we love her, so if we're gonna have a problem, say it to us and not her." He stared at me as I stared right back, he stood up and fixed his suit before walking away. I watched him walk out," Moony, her file, will you?" I looked over and saw Remus already grabbing the file. I laughed, we all grinned at each other, he opened it, flinching.
He said" Four lacerations from her mid-stomach to her collarbone. External bleeding. Internal bleeding of several organs, including lungs... Her heart stopped for one minute." I kissed her head, sighing,
" But she'll be alright, yeah? She'll bounce back?"
" Th-They healed the lacerations, mended the cuts inside her torso... brought her back... so, yeah... she should be alright soon."
" How soon?"
" I don't know, James."
