The next morning, Stacy woke up early and got dressed. Freddy didn't come home last night because Shannon wanted him to stay with her. She quickly made some food, grabbed all their toothbrushes and toothpaste, and went to the station. She met Freddy at the reception and went to him. She asked, "How are mother and father? Shannon as well."
Freddy responded, "They were taken to a room for questioning." Stacy didn't say anything and Freddy asked, "Were you able to speak to your mom?" Stacy shook her head, "I tried uncle Freddy but it seems mom made up her mind already."
Freddy looked at her and felt bad for her, he suggested, "Why don't you try talking to your dad? He seems like a gentle person." Stacy smiled and said, "Thank you uncle, I'll do my best." She prayed in her heart that her mom drops all these.

Lucille was in the investigation room waiting for what would happen. Jason came in some minutes later and sat in front of her. A large table separated them.
Jason proceeded, "You are Mrs. Lucille Dauntsey right?
Lucille nodded and he asked, "What is your relationship with Mrs. Danielle Thompson?"
"I have no relationship whatsoever with Danielle. I only knew her because my husband worked with her husband." She boldly responded.
Jason continued, "Is Miss Stacy, or in this case Miss Anna Thompson your daughter?"
She shook her head, "She is my daughter because I raised her. I just wasn't the one who brought her to this world."
"How did she become your daughter if you were not the one who gave birth to her?"
She sighed, "I found Stacy at my doorstep twenty years ago. I didn't know how she got there and I couldn't leave her as well, so I took her in."
Jason continued, "Did you in any way find out that Miss Anna was Danielle Thompson's daughter?"
Lucille paused for a while and nodded, "Yes. I found out from my daughter, Shannon when Stacy was sick."
Jason wrote some things and asked, "If you knew she was her daughter, why didn't you do anything?"
Lucille remembered all that Danielle did to her and was almost teary when she got herself together and said, "I just wasn't sure she was her daughter so I didn't have to do anything."
Jason looked at her and said, "Thank you for your time. The officer outside would direct you back to your cell." Lucille stood up immediately and went out.

Jason was gathering all he had learned from Lucille when Bob came in and sat down.
Jason proceeded, "You are Mr. Bob Dauntsey right?"
Bob nodded and he asked, "What was your relationship with Mr. Dominic Thompson?"
"Dominic was a boss turned friend to me. It was unfortunate to have learned that the child we raised was their missing daughter."
Jason continued, "How did you find Miss Anna?"
Bob shrugged, "My wife and I were home that day. She heard a knock at the door and she went only for us to find Stacy at our doorstep."
"So you had no idea Dominic and Danielle were looking for a child?"
Bob shook his head, "I didn't know. I lost contact with Dominic when I and my family left town."
Jason asked, "When did you know Miss Anna was Dominic and Danielle's daughter?"
Bob shook his head, "I just knew I heard it from Shannon. I didn't see it."
Jason looked at him and said, "Thanks for your time Mr. Dauntsey. The officer outside would direct you back to the cell." Bob nodded and walked out.

Shannon walked in angrily and sat in front of Jason. Jason studied her and asked, "Shannon Dauntsey right?"
Shannon sharply answered, "I'm married so I'm Mrs. Shannon Barnes."
Jason took note of that and asked, "When did Miss Anna become your sister?"
"When my mom took her in. I mean she was an infant when I saw her." She gestured saying, "I mean, I even thought my mom was babysitting."
Jason furrowed his eyebrows asking, "Was your mom ever into babysitting?"
She shook her head, "No no....that's why I was surprised to see a baby."
He continued, "Your parents said you found out Miss Anna turned out to be Danielle's daughter......how did you find out?"
Shannon shrugged, "I found out when Stacy was sick and her mom came with Olivia to the hospital because...well, I think she was doing some charity things or so..." She paused and continued, "I was going to the hospital when I saw Danielle holding Olivia and I thought she was Stacy. I tried to get her back but I would have been thrown out of the hospital. I was still arguing when one of the attendants told me Stacy was inside.....so yes...that's how I knew."
Jason noted some things down and asked, "Did Danielle offend your family in any way that even after discovering that Stacy was her daughter, you refused to at least confirm?"
Shannon swallowed hard and was about, to tell the truth when she remembered Lucille's words;
"Shannon my dear, I am begging you. I know you hate Danielle so much but no matter what happens, even if you are being pushed, do not tell them Danielle murdered my child. It's not going to help Stacy at all if her mom is in jail."
