Together Again

Matt missed his wife and children so much and knew that he needed to keep them safe but Spencer still made it possible for him to send letter's to his family so that they could at least know that he was alive and well as he was extremely grateful to Spencer for putting that as a condition to them agreeing to be experimented on them but now that they are no longer needed for their assignment, the only thing that they needed to do was speak to the director which happened to be Spencer's cousin who I only found out recently is his cousin

Hey Matt? Spencer asked as I made my way to the kitchen

Ya Spencer? Matt asked as he began to help Spencer with making the food

We will be going to the Bureau tomorrow and we will most probably be rejoining the team. Spencer said with a smile that Matt hadn't seen in awhile except for whenever he's with his wife

That's good, they'll be really happy to see us again especially your wife. Matt said

I know and I will be. Spencer said as they began to eat the food until they finished eating and cleaned up everything as Matt let Spencer call his cousin to let her know that they would be coming in to the office to talk about returning to the BAU

Matt decided since they are already out of their mission that he would go and visit his family as Spencer offered to drive him to his home which Matt gladly accepted as he knew that Spencer had some things to handle and also knew that Spencer would call him if he needed his help as he said his goodbye to Spencer before heading towards the front door of his home and knocked on it then waited until Kristy opened the door and looked at him in shock as tears fell out of her eyes before engulfing him in a hug as his children came looking for their mom before joining the hug

I thought you wouldn't be back until a later date? Kristy asked as she wiped away the tears and guided them to the couch as the children left them alone to talk and catch up with each other

We finished it much quicker than we thought. Matt said as Kristy smiled

Where's Spencer? Kristy asked

He's taking care of a few things. Matt said just as his phone began to ring and he took his phone out and saw that it was Spencer calling him as Kristy saw it too and urged him to answer the call as she made her way to the kitchen to give the duo some space to talk in private

I need you here and I know you just went back but I need ya here, the director wants to talk to the both of us together

Sure thing Grim, I'll just let Kristy know and I'll see ya soon

I'm already in front of your house but take your time

Alright, give me a few seconds

Matt hung up the phone and was immediately faced with his wife who smiled up at him and he knew that she understood that he had to go without saying anything

Sorry hun. Matt said as Kristy leaned up and kissed him as he kissed her back and hugged her tightly

It's alright babe, it's work. Kristy said as they made their way out the door and towards Spencer's car as Spencer rolled down the passenger side window and waved hello to Kristy while Matt got into the passenger seat

Hey Kristy, good to see ya again. Spencer said smiling slightly

Hey Spencer, good to see you. Have you gone to see your wife? Kristy asked

Not yet but soon. Spencer said

Alright, be safe boys. Kristy said as they both nodded then waved goodbye to her and drove into the distance as Spencer didn't say anything throughout the entire drive and Matt had a feeling that he was extremely pissed which Matt understood especially since Spencer's wife was in the mix and he would be just as pissed if Kristy was involved as well

The duo finally arrived at Quantico and Spencer was glad that the team wasn't in the office as they made their way into the building and went straight to the director's office as most agents tried to stop them but Matt just glared at them which caused them to back off immediately as they finally arrived inside of the director's office who just smiled at him and had them sit down and then offered him some drinks then spoke

Glad to see you again Spence. Director Marissa said

Good to see you again cuz. Spencer said

You must be Matt Simmons, correct? Director Marissa asked looking at Matt

Yes I am. Matt said as they began to talk about what they came there for as they spent the majority of the day talking amongst each other until they had to go home as Spencer dropped him off at his place before he headed the opposite way from his place as Matt spent the remaining hours of the day with his family until they all went to bed and let the darkness consume them
