Chapter 8: Bad News

(Y/N)'s POV

Charlie had frozen after Moon asked him that, it's almost as if he's not used to being called by his name as he stayed quiet for a moment as if he wasn't quite sure of what he was gonna say.

After a while he sighed refusing to meet Moon's eyes, "It's not good news, Moon.." he almost whispered out.

His hand ran threw his hair almost out of distress. What's really going on?

"Just spit it out already it can't-" he got abruptly cut off by Charlie saying "It can be that bad Moon and it is, Vanessa is pissed and if she finds you she's gonna dismantle you- there have been a few complaints about the daycare and she's had a bad day and if she finds you.. then you'll be the one she takes it out on.." fear was almost dripping off of his voice as he scratched at his unclothed arm.

My eyes widened in shock, can someone really just do that? I guess so..

The room was completely silent as the tension grew thicker by the second.

"You should leave then, if she found you here it wouldn't be good for you either.." Moon said his voice growing quieter towards the end of his sentence.

Charlie nodded his head turning around saying a small "be careful" before leaving.

After he left the room fell to silence, I looked towards Moon trying to figure out what he was thinking but to no avail I couldn't figure it out.

He was so quiet yet he an undertone of an unsettling aura surrounding his features.

After a moment he finally spoke, "we have to go. Now." He said quickly, before I could even form a response he picked me up, holding onto the underside of my thighs while walking outside of the small naptime building.

"H-Hey what are you-" before I could finish my sentence we started flying upwards at an alarming rate.

I immediately held onto Moon for dear life burying my face into his neck to prevent myself from looking down at the quickly descending ground.

Don'tdropmedon'tdropmedon'tdropme- I yelled in my head simultaneously.

I know that I'm dead but that doesn't mean I wanna get dropped at a very great distance from the ground.

"..are you ok?" He whispered to me, I slowly looked up at him confused for a moment of where we were before realizing we were perched upon a pole on the ceiling as Moon had been balancing his sitting form upon it while holding me.

Wait... HE'S STILL HOLDING ME!? Actually that's not to terrible considering I'd rather not fall but it's still quite embarrassing-

I was about to respond to Moon's question when I heard the doors to the daycare open and it wasn't Charlie who entered...

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while, and while I'm writing this it's almost new years eve for me! I hope you all have been doing well and if not I'm sorry to hear that and I hope it'll get better for you.

Anyways I swear that I'll try to do better about updating, life can just be hard sometimes and it seems like everytime I try to write and update chapters my life decides to punt me across a yard 😂
