Chapter 4: Hello old friend

(Y/N)'s POV

I was confused, had my theory been correct? Wow that's the first- anyways how do I respond to him? I mean it's been what? 10 years? Ya that's right.. hmm

"You can see me?" I questioned out loud, those were the only words I could seem to come up with as I looked at him. He only stared back at me, I felt awkward so I quickly looked down at the small children running around the play area.

I couldn't help but feel his stare boring into the side of my head. After a while he finally answered with a small "yes.. why?" I moved my (E/C) eyes back towards him as I looked at him.

I let out a small sigh, "We'll talk about it later alright?" I fiddled with my fingers in my lap as I said these few words, he almost instantly replied with "You mean after closing time?".

I firmly nodded my head "you should continue to play with the kids Sunny, otherwise they'll start to question where you are" I said as I looked towards him trying to read his expression even though it's nearly impossible.

He quickly nodded as he stood up, he looked back at me before jumping into the ball pit and the ground below us. I just watched as he played with the kids.

Normally I'd "play" along with them but today I feel like I shouldn't, I mean my favorite animatronic in the whole world disappeared last night or something then a creepy moon guy came out of no where and I ended up falling asleep on- no I'm not finishing that sentence.

Anyways now I figured out that my theory was accurate I think? Uhhh why is this so frustrating!? What happened to all those years? I mean had he been able to see me the whole time.. had they all been able to see me this whole time? Better yet how am I gonna be able to explain that I'm a ghost?

I let my head fall back against the wall then leaning it forward only to let it fall back again continuing this process multiple times. I feel so dumb.. I mean how could I be so stupid to get stuck here overnight? Wait.. that's it! Rule #4!

Rule #4: All things happen for a reason.

So how will this play out? What has the world come to? Lord life's a mess- wait that's right I'm dead so death is a mess.

I rubbed my temples as I looked at the time, 11:36 pm.. hmm that's not terrible under 30 minutes till the bell strikes midnight. I looked back down at the kids only to find that they weren't in the play area, they are now in fact I'm the nap time area.

The nap time area looks like a huge soft pillow fort but it's a actually a small building that resides within the daycare (don't come at me if this isn't a real thing, I just thought about it off the top of my head and put it so don't be like "wEll AuThOr ThAt DoEsN't eXiSt-" cause darlings I don't care if it actually does exist or not so just pretend like it does for a second ☺️) it's really dark in there.. but why do I kinda wanna go?

Hello my lovelies! Sorry for the late update, if you hadn't seen my announcement yesterday I said basically that I had school and would be really busy. With the free time that I've gotten I've wrote on here, so don't worry I never forget about any of my books. I'll try to do better on writing but no promises to post chapters for a little.
