A month passes by of Lexi and Andrew only talking on Sunday's over FaceTime going on and on about how their week was and Lexi told all of the teachers at school how he wasn't coming back cause he moved. The story cuts forward to the day of Lexi's appointment. She starts the day off at school
Lr- hey guys
Sd- hey lex
Jh- what's up?
Lr- I have an appointment after school so I won't be able to make it to play rehearsal tonight
Sd- oh ok. Is it the appointment I think it is?
Lr- I have no idea what your thinking
Ba- is it the big OB appointment?
Lr- oh, yeah it is
Sd- ok. Just know that we're here for you no matter what the results are
Lr- I know
Lexi goes to class
The whole day goes by slow while Lexi's waiting for her call with Andrew and the appointment. The day finally ends and Lexi heads to the OB's office. She calls Andrew as soon as she gets there, but he doesn't pick up. She texts him that she just got to the appointment and he should call her back when he can. He calls her back a couple of minutes later as soon as Lexi goes back to her OB's room
A- hey, have you found out yet?
Lr- nope. I just got back to her room
A- sorry I didn't answer earlier. I had my phone on silent cause my siblings were blowing it up and it got annoying
Lr- it's fine
OB- are you ready Lexi?
Lr- yep
The OB puts the gel on her stomach and rubs the ultrasound around
OB- do you wanna know?
Lr- yeah.
OB- congrats Lexi, you are 5 weeks pregnant
Lr- wait really?
A- really?
OB- yes you are, and I imagine the guy on the phone is the father
A- yes I am
Lr- do I have to do anything to keep the baby healthy?
OB- you do have a choice
Lr- I already made it when I was worrying about being pregnant
OB- are you keeping the baby, putting it up for adoption, or aborting?
Lr- I'm gonna keep the baby
OB- ok. Your going to need to take vitamins and go on a diet for food that's not harmful for the baby
Lr- like what?
OB- only one cup of coffee a day, no sushi
Lr- wait no sushi?
OB- no sushi, or deli meat. Try to stay away from that much meat and definitely raw food
Lr- so what can I eat?
OB- Try to eat what you already are just cut out sushi. I know your a pescatarian and you already eat pretty healthy so there's not too much to worry about
Lr- ok
OB- other than that, just try not to worry cause stress is bad for the baby
Lr- ok
OB- you will need to schedule an appointment every four weeks until week 36
Lr- so basically every month
OB- something like that yeah
Lr- ok. So my next appointment will be December  15th?
OB- yes. I will see you then
Lr- ok bye
OB- bye Lexi
Lexi leaves and drives home with Andrew still on the phone
A- I'll be back for your next appointment
Lr- you don't have to come back
A- I wanna come back. I wanna be there with you through this
Lr- I have the support here
A- I know you have support, but I told you that I would be there for you if you were pregnant so I'm gonna be there
Lr- ok
A- you do know how much I love you, right?
Lr- I know you love me
A- yeah but you don't know the extent of my love for you. I will moved heaven and earth for you. You are my whole heart, and I could never hurt you.
Lr- I know, and I could never hurt you
A- I can't live without you. Which is why I could never stay away from for long
Lr- I can't live without you either. I have to go, I've gotta get ready for some family dinner tonight and I have to finish my essay for English
A- ok. I just want you to know how much I love you. I'll see you later
Lr- ok. I love you too, bye
A- bye
Lexi hangs up and Brent comes in
Br- hey lex. You ready for the dinner tonight?
Lr- I'm about to go get ready
Br- before you go, how was the appointment?
Lr- it was fine
Br- so?
Lr- I'm pregnant
Br- wait really?
Lr- yep. Now I've gotta go get ready
Br- ok
Lexi goes to get ready and Brent calls Andrew
A- hey Brent
Br- hey. Do you know about Lexi?
A- yeah we were on a call the whole time and we just hung up
Br- is that why she's acting different?
A- she didn't want me to come home for her
Br- that's weird. She was so hell bent on you coming back, I don't know what happened
A- me neither. But I'm gonna be there as soon as I can. Im gonna try to fly out either tomorrow or this weekend
Br- ok. I know she needs you
A- I know too. I'll try to see you tomorrow, bye
Br- bye bro
Andrew hangs up and Brent goes and gets ready. Brent and Lexi head out 2 hours later to the dinner
Lr- hey guys
Bl- hey lex
Bc- hey
Br- sorry we're late
Lm- you guys are good. We haven't gotten a table yet anyways
Lr- ok well I'm gonna go to the bathroom while we're waiting
Lm- ok hon
Lexi heads to the bathroom and Jess, Blake's fiancée, goes after her. They meet up in the bathroom
Jess- hey Lexi
Lr- hey
Jess- are you ok?
Lr- yep. Just miss my boyfriend
Jess- I can understand that. But if there's anything else you need to talk about, I'm here
Lr- there actually is something else
Jess- ok
Lr- I know you know about the appointment, and I am pregnant
Jess- congrats! But why do i feel like that not it?
Lr- because it's not. I know I'm supposed to be happy, but it just feels weird without my boyfriend being here
Jess- I get it. But he'll be back, and you guys will be a family. You are allowed to feel whatever you feel. Just make sure you communicate your feelings with others, especially your boyfriend
Lr- ok. Thanks Jess
Jess- no problem
Lr- now if you'll excuse me, I actually do have to use the bathroom
Jess- of course
Jess leaves the bathroom and Lexi sits in the stall for a half an hour until her mom comes in there
Lm- Lexi?
She sees Lexi sitting on the floor in the stall
Lr- hey mom
Lm- are you ok?
Lr- I don't think I can go out there
Lm- it'll be fine
Lexi opens the stall door and reveals puke all over her dress
Lm- we can fix that
Lr- we can't cause I'm not even done
Lm- you'll get over it soon
Lr- I'm pregnant mom, there's no getting over it
Lm- I promise the nausea will go away, it'll just take a minute
Lr- I know. But I just can't go out there tonight
Lm- ok. I'll have your dad take you home. He was itching to get out of here anyways
Lr- thanks mom
Lm- of course honey
Lexi's mom goes to get her dad and she closes the stall door again. Lexi's mom whispers into her dads ear that lexi needs to go home and he goes to get her out of the bathroom
Lr- hey dad
Ld- hey honey
Lexi opens the the stall door and her dad picks her up and carries her out to his car
Ld- I'm gonna go get a trash bag for you
Lr- ok
Her dad goes back into the restaurant and gets a trash bag and goes back to the car
Ld- here you go hon
Lr- thanks dad
Her dad drives back to the house and helps her inside
Lr- I'm gonna go take a bath
Ld- ok. I'll wash your dress
Lr- thanks dad
Ld- no problem honey
Lexi takes a bath while her dad washes her dress and gets all of the puke out. She sits in there for an hour and the rest of the family gets back from the dinner.
Lm- is she ok?
Ld- yeah, she's taking a bath
Lm- ok
Lexi's mom walks upstairs and knocks on the door
Lm- hey baby
Lr- hey mom
Lm- are you ok?
Lr- yeah
Her mom opens the door
Lr- sorry about the dress
Lm- don't be sorry honey. I know it's just part of the pregnancy. I mean I threw up all over my moms car when I was pregnant
Lr- really?
Lm- yeah. This dress has no comparison
Lr- I know it was pretty expensive
Lm- as long as your ok, I'm not worried about it
Lr- ok
Lm- I'm gonna head to bed, do you think you'll be alright?
Lr- yeah I'll be fine mom
Lm- ok
