Ashlyn sat at the kitchen counter, staring at the marble pattern.

She sighed.

It had been, what, a month?

She didn't really keep track anymore. It didn't matter much to her.

She looked at the date on her phone.

December 3rd.

The date almost immidiently reminded her of the song.

And the fact that it was excactly a month since aidens death, but she would do anything not to think about that.

She put her headphones in, and put the song on.

She hummed along to the lyrics.

I still remember..

Third of December.

Me and your sweater, you said it looked better on me than it did you.

Only if you knew...

How much I liked you.

She sighed.

A winter dance was coming up.

She was originally gonna go with aiden..

But for obvious reasons, she couldn't do that now.

She contemplated if she was even gonna go anymore.

She got out of the chair, grabbing her phone and walking upstairs.

She hummed to the music, cracking her knuckles.

She opened her door, and stepped inside.

She shut the door behind her, and sat on her bed.

She looked at her desk, and her eyes widened.

She took her headphones out, and rushed to her desk.

A long box packaging, with the words "OUJI" spelled out across it.

She did NOT remember buying that.

She glided her fingertips across the dusty surface.

She picked up the box, walking to the middle of the room and sitting down.

She sat the box on the floor infront of her, and slid the top of the box up.

She set it to the side, and sighed.

She stared at the board.

"God I am getting fucking desperate." She whispered.

She lifted the board and the extra piece out of the box and set them on the floor.

She sighed, and placed two fingers on the planchette.
