It has been a few weeks since the HYDRA attack on me and Bucky, I was growing quite nervous, they could be planning a counter attack,
They could strike any moment.
I was walking down the hall looking in every direction. Making sure no HYDRA agents were going to pop out anywhere.
I look over my shoulder, sure it sounds like I am being paranoid. But I lived with them, I grew up in their care.
I know what they are capable of. it's absolutely terrifying.
I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder. that quickly I grabbed their wrist flipping them over my head that they land on their back with a thud,
I blink a few times he's on his back, I am now staring into Steve's eyes,
He was looking into my eyes in shock,
He stood up, kneeling in front of me.
"Jaylynn what have we talked about? " He said
"No throwing our friends." I said
He nodded,
"Come on your going to miss out on Tony's attempt to make a Turkey," Steve said
"Making a Turkey?" I asked
"Yeah it is Thanksgiving after all," He said
"Thanksgiving?" I asked Steve stopped walking, and looked at me,
"You don't know about Thanksgiving?" He asked
I shook my head no,
"Christmas?" He asked
again I shook my head no,
"Any holiday?" He asked
Again I shook my head no,
"Training was all I was taught, being the best," I said
"And if you weren't?" He asked
"I got punished..." I mumbled trying to block it out the pain how afraid I was,
He was about to say something when Bucky walked towards us,
"You gotta come and see this," He said with a chuckle
We enter the kitchen, where Tony was wearing oven mitts on his hands,
Smoke coming out of the oven,
"You burnt it!" Sam said
"I did not!"Tony said pulling the Turkey out of the oven,
"I'm pretty sure you did," Nat said
"It's just right.." He said opening the pan to see a burnt to a crisp Turkey,
"Good thing I bought two," Bucky said chuckling
"I'm cooking it this time," Bucky said
"How you can't cook," Tony said
"A lot better than you can," Bucky said
"I would like to see you try terminator," Tony said walking towards Bucky,
"Watch and learn tin man," Bucky said
Steve put me down,
"Would you two knock it off," Steve said
I see Loki and Thor sitting on the couch so I decided to join them,
"Hello my little mouse," Loki said draping a arm over the back of the couch, I was clutching the stuffed bear Bucky got me,

I smiled up at Loki, I still am a little uncomfortable talking in front of everyone yet but Loki is one of those people I do talk to,
"Hello Loki.." I said smiling at him,
"What we watching?" I asked
"Some nonsense about a rain deer," He said
I giggled a little bit,
But then I realized something, Looking around at everyone, watching how they interact with one another, it almost seemed like one big happy family,
It was odd to me, I had nothing like this growing up, I never had a family before, is this what a family does. I thought as I watched Steve setting the table,
Is this what family is about being around those you care about?
It was all very odd to me and unusual and a bit strange, but for once in my life I was happy to spend this day with all of them,
