Why did I suddenly awake in a huge fish tank? Did I get reincarnated as a fish? *Looks down at myself* ...do fishes nowadays have an upper body of a skeleton or is it just me?
Also who's the fellow skeleton mer beside me? They look like... Dream san...
"We're not just any brothers! We're twins nighty! Don't tell me you forgot?" Dream said with a fake pout. "*Gasp* Of course I didn't forget! What type of brother would I be if I were to forget such an important thing?" I asked while a grin started appearing on my face. "You would be a terrible brother that's what!" Dream exclaimed while pointing at me. "How could you say such a thing! You wound me!" I exclaimed, clutching my chest while suppressing the laughter that was threatening to come out. "Drama queen." Dream said with a giggle coming out of his mouth. "Hey! For your information I am not a Drama Queen! I am actually a Drama King." I said while doing a funny fashion pose I seen before while staring as dream burst into laughter.
"Pfft- hahaha, what type of pose is this nighty?" Dream said while mimicking the pose I was doing. "Dunno. But I find it funny to do." I said before moving out of the pose and instead choosing to swim close to the glass tank. "Well alright...Hm? Brother where are you going?" Dream said while swimming after me. "I just wanna see something really quick." I said before stopping at where the glass held up the water in this huge tank. "Okay." Dream said while watching what I was doing in curiosity.
Staring at the glass before me, I was shocked at my reflection least to say. "Dream?" I asked while still staring at my reflection. "Yes nighty?" Dream asked while swimming to my side. "I just noticed this a few moments ago but I need confirmation... Are we both part fish?" I asked while staring at dream's reflection beside me. "Well, our species in a whole is what's called skeleton mers brother. But if you mean what specific type of mer, were both Betta fishes. Or you can say betta mers to be more precise." Dream said while staring at my reflection and his before smiling.
"I see, uh- can you give me a few moments of alone time dream?" I asked while glancing at dream. "Hm? Of course!" Dream said before turning away before stopping suddenly and saying one final thing. "I'll be waiting in our previous spot, remember to come back whenever you're done with whatever you're doing nightmare!" Dream said cheerfully before swimming away. "Got it!" I said before turning back to my reflection.
"So I'm really nightmare huh? Except I'm passive nightmare. Not that I mind though, I prefer not being a huge goopy kraken." I said to myself while staring at my reflection. "Hm? Wait a minute, how did I just notice these decorations?" I asked myself while staring around to see there was decorations one would put in a fish tank. "Wait a minute- aren't male Betta fish usually hostile to one another? Must be because we're not fully Betta fish and because me and dream are twins. From what I know twins are usually close to each other and wouldn't think of harming the one they consider their other half. Thank goodness me and dream aren't at each other's throats like actual Betta fishes would be." I said before focusing on myself.

"This is gonna take some getting used to but whatever. Also I'm thankful I took swimming classes when I was younger in my past life and that this tail is easy to use." I said to myself before glancing at my reflection one more time before turning around. "I should get back to dream now." I said before swimming in the direction I saw dream go. Not knowing what tomorrow would bring. _________________________________________

I know nightmare is usually a kraken and dream is a goldfish and what not but I decided 'hey? Why not change it up a bit and decided to make dream and nightmare Betta fishes.'
I know Betta fishes are usually hostile to each other but since nightmare and dream aren't like normal Betta fish they aren't affected by those instincts to be territorial and all.
Actually, nightmare may be a little territorial in this, dream on the other hand wouldn't be and would welcome whoever ends up in their tank with open arms as long as they're not too hostile. Well that is unless it's food, if it's food then prepared for dream to eat it up real quick with nightmare.
You guys may or may not be wondering why there's fingerless gloves on nightmare's hands in the drawing... You'll find out in the next chapter!
