Always this winter
in my heart
Drifting through
the center
of all my better days
remains a blizzard
covering the shame
of a man without
a planAll these summers
gather joy
I wear it like a smile
Like an old hat
But this winter
wears me
thin

a planAll these summers
gather joy
I wear it like a smile
Like an old hat
