First Day of Hell Part 2

Start from the beginning

I honestly didn't care I just wanted to survive high school so I could go to collage somewhere else. I knew I couldn't because my family was here.

My dad had passed away a couple months ago and my mother was still coping. My sister was trying her hardest bless their hearts, but I knew it wasn't going to be enough. My dad was the one who had a collage degree. My mother didn't even have a high school diploma so naturally she didn't get paid well.

My sister was also trying her best. She was a full time student with a job. She was studying to be a teacher and was working as hard as she could.

I know we are going to lose are house. It's just a matter of time.

I was left to take care of my siblings when my mother and sister are at work. I'd didnt have friends and I also had a strict mom so there wasn't much I could do but be home. I had no freedom. Which was fine with me I didn't care much.

I knew I was going to be late so I didn't even bother being on time. I took my sweet time getting there. When I finally did, I saw a a middle aged woman walking up the stairs. I wondered which spoiled brat had left something important at home and made this poor woman drop it off for them.

I slowly went up the stairs. Half way up the woman in front of me tripped on a stair and started falling forward. I quickly grabbed her before she could hit the stone steps.  I pulled her up a bit so she was on her feet.

She turned to look at me with wide eyes. She was breathing very heavily. "Thank you!" She exclaimed.

She gave me a big hug and I smiled. "Here." I said as I handed her my bag of cookies my mother had given me.

"What's this?" she asked as I handed it to her.

"It's barely 8 o'clock and you almost knocked your teeth out." I chuckled a bit. " You seem to need them more that me."

Her bluebell eyes looked at me in disbelief. "No no!  I can't!" She exclaimed, trying to hand them back to me.

I shook my head. Her eyes softened, "Thank you very much young lady. I hope everyone I met will be as kind and heroic as you."

I didn't know what to say to that, so I nodded and walked up to my class.

I dug through my bag for my schedule and realized that it was at the top of the stairs. I rolled my eyes and made my way up there. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. The door swung wide open and a kind looking young woman with blonde hair.

"Hello! You must be Elena! Please come in! I'm Ms.Lee. I'll be your teacher this year. Find a seat anywhere will do." It felt very awkward. Everyone was already seated and looked for the closest empty seat. It was in the back next to a a very pretty girl. I walked up and whispered, "Hey is anyone sitting here." Her brown eyes lit up at the sight of me. "Please! Please!" She scrambled getting her things off the bench. I sat down.

Hugo's POV

I got to school with minutes to spare. I ran and sat down with my best friend, Azul. "Hey, dude!" He yelled, earning odd looks from everyone else. We both laughed it off. I was about to say something when the bell rang. A middle aged woman walked into the room with a big smile on her face. "Good morning, children! I'm Ms.Lee and I will be your teacher for this new year. Let me introduce myself. I'm originally from New York City." She paused as she earned several gasps and ooos from everyone. Ms.Lee chuckled and was about to say something when there was a knock on the door.

Ms.Lee opened the door, and the most beautiful girl I had ever seen walked into the room. She had beautiful brown hair that was braided and gorgeous brown eyes, but when she smiled every color seemed to be a shade brighter and the pressure and despair that lurked in my heart seemed to vanish. But wait. I hadn't even met her and here I was falling in love. I shook my head and ignored the feelings. She walked past me and I felt butterflies in my stomach. "Dude, you know you're staring right?" Azul whispered to me. I blinked and turned away.
