Y/n's legs were burning, the group had been walking for what felt like ever. And so far there was no end to this tunnel. Y/n walked next to Steve, with Robin beside her, and Dustin on the other side of Robin. Erica walked a little behind them, but kept up.
Steve and Dustin had been talking back and forth, and Y/n would jump in now and again but she was mostly silent.

"I mean, you have to admit, as a feat of engineering alone, this is impressive." Dustin said motioning around.

Y/n shrugged "I guess." She said "It seems futuristic too." She added.

"What are you talking about? It's totally fire hazard." Steve said "There's no stairs, there's no exit, there's just an elevator that drops you halfway to hell."

"Why the hell would there be a fire down here?" Y/n asked looking over at Steve.

"It's a secret Russian base, who knows whats going on down here." Robin jumped in.

"Yeah, they're commies. You don't pay people, they cut corners." Erica added in.

"To be fair to our Russian comrads, I don't think this tunnel was designed for walking." Robin pointed out, "I mean, think about it, they developed the perfect system for transporting cargo."

"It all comes into the mall like any old delivery." Dustin said.

"And then they load it up onto those trucks, and nobody's the wiser." Y/n added shrugging.

"You think they built this whole mall, just so they could transport that green posion?" Steve asked.

Y/n scoffed "Poison?" She asked in disbelief "More like fuckin' acid."

"I agree with Y/n. I very seriously doubt it's something as boring as poison." Dustin said, "It's gotta be much more valuable, like promethium ot something."

Y/n looked at Dustin "There's a high chance it could be promethium." She said "Guided missiles are made with it, if I'm not mistaken."

"What the hell is promethium?" Steve asked.

"It's what Victor Stone's dad used to make Cyborg's bionic and cybernetic components." Robin explained to Steve.

"You're all so nerdy, it makes me physically ill." Erica said.

"No, no, no." Steve quickly said "No, don't lump me in with them. I'm not a nerd, all right?"

"Why so sensitive, Harrington?" Robin teased grinning.

Y/n laughed "Are you afraid of losing cool points to a ten-year-old child?" She added on, bumping him with her hip.

Steve stumbled a bit but kept his footing "No, I'm just saying I don't know jack shit about Prometheus."

"Promethium." Dustin corrected.

"Prometheus is the greek titan god of fire." Y/n explained "But that's not the point, whatever the green shit is, it's probably being used to make something."

"Or power something." Robin suggested.

"Like a nuclear weapon?" Dustin asked.

"Totally."

"Walking towards a nuclear weapon. Thats great." Steve said sarcastically "That'd be great."

Y/n shook her head "Loving the sarcasm, babe."

"But if they're building something, why here?" Robin asked "I mean, Hawkins. Seriously. Of all places."

Steve grabbed Y/n's hand as he began to slow his walking, and Y/n looked over making eye contact with Dustin. The three of them falling a little behind.
