i walked into mcdonald's and stood in line.
"aye dez." i heard someone say.
i looked to the side and saw corde.
"um.." i mumbled and looked around.
"girl stop playin wit me, how you been?" he asked.
"good..." i said and moved up in line.
"how's the baby?" corde asked and stood by me.
"she's good." i said and cracked a small smile.
"that's good." he said and licked his lips.
"i heard you got you a place and shii." corde said.
"yup, just staring over." i said and looked at him.
"type shit." he said and nodded.
"aye, you talked to redd?" he asked.
"no.. why?" i asked.
"you know he got twins on the way?" corde asked.
"oh wow.." i said and chuckled.
"congratulations to him i guess." i added.
"next in line!" the lady at the cash register yelled.
me and corde walked up to the counter and i looked at the menu.
"what you ordering?" she asked and looked at me.
"natasha?" corde asked and i looked at her.
"corde?" the girl said and smiled.
"damn, yo bump getting big." he said and looked at her belly.
"aye dez, this redd other babymama." corde said.
"fuck you mean 'other'?" natasha asked.
"redd got two other kids.. he ain't tell you?" corde asked her.
"he got a three year old son named aiyden and a 2 month old daughter right dez?" corde asked and looked at me.
"yes his daughter is two months and her name is amaré." i said.
"oh, that's coo.. he never mentioned them to me." natasha said and mugged me.
"that's not my business but can i have a 20 piece nugget, a large fry and a sweet tea." i said and looked back at the menu.
"will that be all?" she asked.
i looked at corde.
"you getting something?" i asked.
"yea lemme get two hot n spicy's, a large fry and a sprite." he said and pulled out his wallet.
"okay, your total will be twenty-three dollars and fifty-six cents." she said and looked at corde.
corde handed her a fifty dollar bill.
"keep the change." he said and natasha handed him the receipt.
me and corde went to sit down.
"aye on some real shit, i really apologize about the kids.. i don't know what the fuck i was thinking." he said as we sat down.
i looked at him.
"and you don't gotta accept my apology but i just want you to know i sincerely apologize for that shit." he added.
i nodded and looked out the window.

"damn she startin to look like you." corde said as he held amaré.
"i know, i thought she was gon look like redd." i said and smiled at her.
"the kids at daycare?" corde asked.
"yeah, kaia gon pick them up because her and pj takin them to do something." i said.
"ohh okay, where they taking them?" he asked.
"i think they said the trampoline park." i said.
"damn hopefully they can do something, they little as fuck." corde said and i laughed.
"forreal."
amaré fell asleep in corde's arms.
"you can lay her down in her crib." i said.
"ight." he said and put her in her crib.
"what you bout to do?" corde asked me.
"finna clean up then go to sleep." i said and shrugged.
"oh okay, gimme yo number." he said and opened his phone.
i put my number in his phone then walked out of my room.
