Silent Water seems relaxing, I guess. They have their number on the website too.
"Hi, are you.. uh.. from Silent Water Hypnosis?"
"Mhm, what can I do for you today?" A young woman answered the phone.
"I'd like to make an appointment, preferably for today." I noticed I was stuttering a bit more than usual. "If possible."
"Sorry, we're booked until the end of October."
That's six months away..
"Is there any way that I could maybe get an appointment before then? It's sort of urgent."
"I'll see what I can do." I could hear the grin on her face. "But it'll come for a price."
A cold chill rushed through my spine. It felt oddly familiar.
"Valued customer? Are you still there?"
"Yeah, sorry. What price?"
"There is a VIP plan that gives you exclusive access to any appointment that gets cancelled or rescheduled." She paused. "It's a yearly membership."
"Oh okay, if I got that membership when would be the soonest appointment I could have?"
"Sorry, valued customer. That's private information available to only our VIP members."
Okay fine.
...
"Thank you for your purchase!"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." That's $200 I'll never get back. "Now when's the next appointment available."
"Monday at 10."
Shit I have work.
"Can I think about it?"
"Yea, of co-," A pause and a bit of typing. "No, actually Monday at 10 is full now."
"You've got to be kidding me. That wasn't even 10 seconds.."
"But one opened up 3 o'clock that same Monday."
Ugh. No luck huh. I'm still gonna be at work but if I wait longer that one will get taken too.
"I'll take it."
Just two days. I'll be home all weekend, all I have to do is make sure she doesn't destroy the place in those two days.
