as he stuttered for words while looking down at the book, he missed how jisung was looking over him with the fondest smile.

'cute' jisung muttered under his breath.

"hey," he smiled as he patted minho's shoulder, "i can't stay because i'm depriving jeongin and felix of paying for our lunches. but, erm, i'll see you round?"

jisung seriously wasn't helping minho's inability to speak.

"he'll see you round, ji." chan nodded as jisung turned to him with the hint of a smirk. "he says thank you for the book and have a good day."

"please tell minho i said 'you're welcome' and i hope he has a good day too." jisung joked as he turned back to minho, gave him a small wave, and walked away from the table.

once he was out of sight, minho let out a deep breath and slumped onto the table on top of his arms.

"oh my god." he sighed before lifting his head up and looking around his friends. "did you see him! he's just so cute! and so generous, like, giving me my book back!? he's too pure for this world."

seungmin only rolled his eyes. "basic human decency."

"let him have this." changbin nudged seungmin before patting his thigh. "i'd rather have happy-mood-minho than depressed-because-he-hasn't-spoken-to-jisung-minho."

"true." seungmin nodded, looking to the second oldest who was sporting the biggest lovesick smile as he traced the spine of his textbook. "though very-sappy-minho, i don't like to see." he spoke in a hushed voice.

the rest of lunch continued as normal, the five friends eating and talking happily together before the bell rang for their last few classes of the day.

minho was more than happy with how the afternoon had gone.

firstly he'd had a pleasant, albeit slightly embarrassing, interaction with his crush.

secondly, his geography and science classes had flown by and now he was currently sat in his favourite subject.

further maths.

as the bell rang for the end of class, mr shin asked minho to stay behind as there was a question he wanted to ask.

minho happily complied and packed all of his things in his seat as he waited for everyone else to leave.

after sending a quick text to his friends telling them to wait in the car park, minho pocketed his phone and moved to sit at the desk opposite his teacher's.

"so, firstly well done today, minho." the man smiled as he gestured to minho's latest assignment.

"you know you can't do any better than a 100!"

minho smiled and bowed his head in gratitude.

"i was wondering, seen as you're one of my top students," he continued. "if you'd be interested in tutoring someone in maths that i think is slightly behind other students? with a bit of help, i think he could really excel in my class."

"oh, i see." minho nodded, though was slightly hesitant to fully agree. "but, can i ask who it is?"

"you know him quite well i think." mr shin smiled. "it'd be jisung."

immediately, minho felt his blood run cold.

"what? no sir, i'm sorry but i can't tutor jisung."

the confusion was evident on mr shin's face.
