Why?

Just why the hell does Soobin find himself sitting in the same desk again, in the same classroom and in front of him, was a rather too familiar face.

A face that he had been purposely avoiding.

"How—" How the hell did this happen again? For the third fucking time.

"You—" Soobin has a lot to say, but all that came out was, "Crazy." This bastard was crazy. No, he's insane.

How many times has he been at a loss of words because of this crazy bastard?

"You were avoiding me."

No-fucking-shit.

"And I missed you."

'This crazy....'

Again, Soobin was at a lost of words.

What was he supposed to say? He couldn't help but feel all types of emotions.

"Just— Just what the hell do you want from me?"

"I told you already. I missed you and you kept avoiding me."

"Since when were we close enough to interact?"

"I thought we were after that night. Was I mistaken? Didn't I lend you my jacket?"

Ah. Now Soobin suddenly remembers about that jacket. He'd been running around trying to avoid Yeonjun that he completely forgot about the jacket that he was supposed to be returning.

Actually, he didn't even know why he was avoiding the other. Every time he saw a glimpse of that face and blonde hair, he'd immediately turn tails and make a run for it.

As Yeonjun was about to open his mouth to say something again, Soobin quickly puts his hand up as a signal for him to shut his mouth then began to quickly rummage through his backpack, pulling out a neatly folded jacket.

"Here. Thank you, again."

"You aren't going to keep it?" Yeonjun asked, titling his head.

"Gosh. Why would I??" Soobin quickly shoves the folded jacket into the other's chest. "Now, would you please leave me alone? I really don't want to be in detention again."

He really was sick and tired of this. He's going to have a bad reputation at this rate.

"If you won't avoid me anymore then maybe I'll consider it."

"....Are you lonely?" The sudden question shocked Yeonjun.

"....What?"

"It seems like you are desperate to make friends with me." Yeonjun was silent for a while before bursting into a fit of laughter.

"Maybe I am." Yeonjun was smiling ear to ear. "Would you befriend me if I said yes?"

"You really are a crazy bastard." Soobin couldn't help but sigh and shake his head in disbelief. He really couldn't tell if the other was lying or just messing with him.

"Why me though?" It was a question that Soobin had wanted to ask for a while now ever since their since encounter.

Why was it him? Why was it only him that Yeonjun bothered? Why was the other so attached him? Sending him to detention. Getting his phone number somehow. Always following him wherever he went.

"Why not you?" Yeonjun tilted his head, asking, as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Soobin stared at the other in disbelief.

"I'm interested in you." Yeonjun leaned closer.

"....What?"

What the hell did that even mean? It could mean many things to Soobin.

"How about we start with basic stuff? Let's talk about ourselves, Hm?"

"Would you stop sending me to detention if we get to know each other?" Yeonjun nodded. "I'll start then. I'm Choi Yeonjun, nineteen."

"I'm Choi Soobin, nineteen.... I... uh..." Soobin was rather flustered. He's never introduced himself like this before so he wasn't sure what to say.

"I heard you like reading novels."

"...How'd you know that?"

Did Soobin really blab to everyone about how he loves reading novels? Is that why Yeonjun knows about it? He feels embarrassed just thinking about it.

"Just guessed."

'This crazy jerk...' Soobin stared at the other with a look of disbelief. There was no way Yeonjun just manages to guess everything correctly. It was obvious that the blonde was lying but it looks like he'd continue to feign ignorance even if Soobin presses him further.

"Well, yeah."

"Can you tell me about it?"

"Wait a minute...." Soobin feels himself starting to become flustered again. He wasn't expecting that at all! Nobody has ever asked about his interests like that. "Are— Are you sure? It's kind of boring and I start to uncontrollably ramble about..."

It was true. Whenever he talked about anything he enjoys, he ends up rambling on and on. It makes him feel as if it would annoy or bore the other person so he tries not to talk about his interests much.

"I don't mind. It's a normal thing, isn't it? I want to know about it." Yeonjun seemed to be genuine about it which makes Soobin even more flustered.

"Alright... But don't you dare start complaining." Yeonjun laughs and nodded. "So... My all time favourite novel is called 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint'..." Soobin begins.

The more he talked, the more focused Yeonjun became. He mostly listened and asks questions once in a while and Soobin would enthusiastically answer.

Yeonjun's smile never faded throughout the whole conversation.

'His voice is pretty.'

'His eyes becomes a shape of a crescent when he's happy about something.'

'When he laughs, I can see his bunny teeth peaking out.'

'There's a subtle pout on his lips when he tries to remember certain things.'

Yeonjun kept mentally noting every single small thing that he noticed about Soobin.

'I want to have long conversations like this with him everyday.'

"Hey, are you getting bored now?" Soobin asked which made Yeonjun immediately shook his head.

"I'm not."

'Nothing is boring when it comes to you.'
