As the televised show came to an end, Cate was whisked away backstage, her award was the final of the night. A showhand of some sort came to escort yourself to the back upon Cate's request. You scanned the room as you stood up, looking around for Morag and Elisabeth. The makeup artist caught your eye, pointing upwards and indicating she was going to head back to the room. You nodded before looking back to the attendant and smiling. He offered his arm and you laid your hand inside his elbow.

You were led through a maze of hallways, loud voices filling the air. A grin drowned your face as an Australian accent caught your ear. You eventually came upon your favorite blonde, her eyes instantly lighting up at the sight of you.

"Come here," she demanded with the widest smile. She was in the middle of taking a picture with Sandy and Sarah, but stopped posing to make sure you were included. She grabbed onto your arm as soon as you were within reach, pulling you into her and pressing a kiss on your lips.

"Stop making out, let's go," Sarah demanded with a fake agitation, playfully smacking your butt with both hands. She dragged you to settle between herself and Cate. Your blonde's hand creeped to rest on the lowest part of your back, while Sarah squeezed you into a bear hug from the other side.

After taking way too many pictures, Sarah and Sandy turned in to go over the night's plans again. Cameras continued to flash but the four of you commanded each other's presence of mind for a moment.

"Netflix afterparty until like 10 or 11 and then you're coming over, right?" Sandy asked, pointing between the three of you.

"We're changing and then, yeah- yeah, party," you confirmed, seeing as Cate was a little tipsy and far more interested in your body than answering the question. "We might not end up coming over, it depends on how many more drinks this one has."

You laughed at Cate's brow quirk, she was pretending to be offended by the comment but ultimately knew you were right.

"God, please don't leave me alone with Paulson," Sandy teased, starting to be pulled in a different direction.

"What the fuck?" Sarah whined, going after her.

"See you in a couple hours," you laughed, Sarah turning to blow a kiss and give a small wave.

You looked to Cate, her blues already fixated on you. "Hi," you giggled, wrapping your arms around her neck.

"Hi, pretty girl," she smiled, pulling you further into her, your bodies almost fitting like two puzzle pieces, the golden award in her grip made it a little difficult to fully reciprocate an embrace. Cate brought her mouth to your ear, a hot whisper intruding the space, "You are so sexy."

You couldn't help but giggle again, Cate's unoccupied hand briefly dropping your ass, before you forced it back to your waist.

"Too many eyes for that," you chuckled, her goofy grin turning to a fake pout. You puckered your lips to kiss it away, staying close to her mouth as you parted. "I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you, baby," she returned, a series of quick kisses following. "I have to go do a little press briefing and then we can head upstairs, okay?"

You nodded, clinging to her a bit more. "Just one more minute."

After your moment together, you followed and watched from the side as Cate answered questions of reporters. It was quite entertaining given she wasn't exactly sober. You laughed as she stumbled on a word, her eyes finding you as she couldn't help but pick out her favorite sound amongst it all. After the briefing, you immediately made it back to her. Cate passed off her award to Elisabeth, the publicist making her presence known right before Cate talked with the press.
