I ducked my head down slowly, the feeling of embarrassment coursed through my veins, the click of the door indicated that isa left, and seconds later the bed dipped beside me, I felt a large hand patted my back in a soothing manner
"Why're you here" I whispered
"Did you take your pills" He asked, the warmth of his hand left my body leaving me cold
"I did" I said "Not"
I looked up slowly and wiped the tears that were falling from my face, my nose felt stuffy, eyes felt puffy, and my mind was hazy, my head rolled to the side, and I leaned over on Ares's shoulder
"I'm not okay" I muttered quietly, I scooched over so that he could get on the bed with me, and he gladly did, his arm slung over my shoulders which brought me closer to him
"You don't have to pretend that you're okay" He whispered, his head laying gently on top of mine
"I feel like I have to" I shut my eyes as I felt another tear drop onto my face
"You've been through a-lot, everyone's worried about you"
"No-one cares" I admitted my feelings, I felt my heart break as those words flowed out of my mouth, it felt like no-one cared, it felt forced
"Everyone cares" My hand grabbed his, his thumb slowly rubbed along the palm of my hands in a soothing manner
"Everyone cares" He whispered yet again
My eyes fluttered shut as those words bounced around in my head
