Chapter Three Part 2

   When Ajax woke up he was in Sumeru. "Where am I? He groaned sitting up. "Oh my goodness!" He heard a lady shout. "See honey!? I told you thousands of times check the cargo boat before loading it onto the ship! This is why!" She shouted. Ajax let out a whimper from all the yelling. She sighed and helped the omega out of the ship. "I am so sorry! My husband has a bad habit of not checking the cargo boat. Can you tell me what you last remember?" She asked. Ajax nodded and let her lead him.
    "I was stood up by my mate so I went to go look for him and he was at a perfume shop. I went to go find my friend. And I started crying. Well I didn't want to show up to our meeting spot sobbing because my friend has had a really tough week. So I sat under the steps of this restaurant and bar and a few bottles dropped and didn't break so I drank the rest of it. I got drunk and fell into the boat." He explained.
    The lady nodded. "Where are you from? Judging from your clothes you can't be from Sumeru." She admitted. "I live in Liyue with my mate, Zhongli." He answered. The lady shook her head. "Stupid husband." She grumbled. "My name is Ajax by the way." He greeted. The lady smiled. "Mary Lui! Yeah I have 2 first names." She greeted shaking the younger mans hand.
     The husband walked up to the two. "I go back to Liyue at the end of this week I can take you back. It was my mistake so you may use our spare room until then." He offered. "Thank you so much!" Ajax thanked. "I will take you up on that offer. My friend Aether is coming to Sumeru for business I will have to find him so that I can assure him I am okay!" He explained.
      "Oh the little blonde dude in black and gold? Sorry to break this too you little omega you've been out for a few days. I'm afraid he already left and went back to Inazuma. But I'm also afraid Inazuma is anti- outsiders. So I promise to take you back to Liyue. I am so sorry." The man apologized. Ajax looked down. "Its okay. I just didn't want him to worry." He mumbled. Mary Liu brought him into a hug. "Its okay darling we understand and will take good care of you. Sumeru isn't bad not at all! We can go berry picking." She offered. Ajax sighed. "Yeah that sounds fun!"

   Ajax walked happily with Mary laughing and joking as he picked berries with her. "Yes my husband was so much more different as we were younger." She joked. "He was so cheesy and awkward. I love that. I'm glad things between you two worked out." He admitted. Mary laughed and nodded.
   "Ajax we should pick more since we're feeding four people tonight." She requested plucking more berries. "Oh do you have a friend coming over?" He asked. Mary looked up at him confused. "Ajax? Your pregnant right? You smell pregnant." She stated. "I'm so sorry for assuming!" she quickly apologized.
   "I didn't know that! I'll have to get it confirmed!" He admitted. Ajax stood in silence for a while his mind racing. "I understand its alot to take in." She admitted. Ajax snapped out of his train of thought. "I guess I shouldn't be too surprised we did mate slot during my heat. I guess I'm surprised it happened so soon." He admitted. Mary nodded. "I see." She smiled. "Me and my husband we had two sons. They're grown up now and have their own families. I remember when I told him he fainted." She laughed. "I want to get it confirmed by a doctor. If you don't mind." He admitted.
      Mary and Ajax walked towards their doctors tent. "Excuse me Doctor!" She said. The doctor looked up and sniffed the air. "Could it be you want to check up on your baby?" He asked looking at Ajax's stomach. "Uh, I actually wanted it to be confirmed. Like a document so I can send it to my mate!" He admitted. The doctor stood up and walked closer to him sniffing him. "You aren't from Sumeru. You smell...too much of spice." He commented. "He's from Liyue doctor." Mary said. The doctor nodded and led Ajax to a stretcher.
    "So I'm going to run one test. Its going to prove your pregnancy okay?" He questioned. The doctor stuck a cold gel on his belly. He pulled out an instrument. He pressed it on top of the gel and pressed a button causing it to flash. "Congrats Ajax you're pregnant with one child." He said with a smile. Ajax looked down at his belly and nodded. "Thank you doctor!" He thanked. The doctor handed him a picture and a doctors note. "There you go darling. Mary Liu already paid for it so just head on up to her." He said.
     Ajax walked up to the front of the tent. He saw Mary standing outside the tent. "Mary Liu!" He greeted  opening the tent. That's when he noticed she was talking to a fatui worker. "Leave." He stated coldly. The fatui worker scuffed. "We don't have to listen to you. We heard you were here so we came to tell you. Our wonderful almost ready to start a war against celestia. For that she needs soldiers. Because of that stupid traveler we don't have the soldiers." She stated. "I can't go back and fight in the war. I'm sorry. I'm pregnant. I'm going to have a baby soon." He admitted. "I just got it confirmed." The fatui worker scuffed.
     "Someone will have to go in your place we'll just have to draft one of your siblings." She mocked. Ajax felt his blood boil. "You're going to draft kids!? Are you fucking serious!? The oldest child is 12 fucking 12!" He yelled. Mary grabbed his arm. "Ajax please stress isn't good for your baby."
  Ajax grumbled and walked away. "You act like the other arcons aren't going to lend a hand. Why do you think they handed over their gnoises!? They're still powerful even without them." He scuffed before walking away.

    "Im sorry my lord. He's not in Liyue. I've checked every nook and cranny of Liyue looking for him." Xiao said. Zhongli growled deeply. "Leave." He spat. "My lord-" Xiao stuttered. "LEAVE ADEPTUS XIAO!" He yelled. Xiao immediately left the arcon alone. "Where are you my dove?" He asked as tears rolled down his face.

  Zhongli returned home that night. "My dove, let's talk. Talk about earlier." He said walking through the door. "Dove?" He asked looking around. The nest on their shared bed was empty. "Dove?" He asked again peeking inside the bathroom. "Ajax!?" He yelled out checking every room in his hotel room.
     Zhongli walked quickly to the front desk. "Have you seen my mate!?" He asked the front desk lady. She nodded. "Last time I saw him he was talking to that blonde boy with the braid." She said. "Thank you so much!" He thanked before retaking off.
    As he passed down the marker strangers were quick to move out of his way. He turned onto the harbor and looked around for Aether. He saw Xiao and Aether hugging and kissing eachother. He started walking towards the couple. Their heads snapped up and looked at Zhongli.
     "Zhongli!" Aether said running up to the man. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Ajax. He's missing.I just came from the Inn the lady said the last time he was seen was with you." He spoke silently trying to suppress a growl. "I was talking to Ajax at the Inn I left him there so I can meet up with my team here. He said he'd meet up with me here after the two of you were finished with you're stroll." Aether answered.
    Zhongli growled. "He's not at the Inn! He's at the market. He has to be." He snapped. Xiao stepped between the two. "I'll notify Kequing and Ganyu." He spoke. "We'll let you know any details."

  When Aether left on the boat he promised Xiao he would do his best to finish quickly so he could come back and help if Ajax isn't found. Xiao notified the girls and they put together a quick search party group for the missing omega.

    Zhongli ended up back at the Inn in his room. Zhongli laid in their nest desperately trying to calm himself down. He couldn't head out and help not with his dragon features showing. He remember how Ajax would pet his horns and run his hand along his tail. "My dove hurry and come home to me." He mumbled.

  Ajax looked out the window of the kitchen. "Li, Im so sorry my alpha. Please don't destroy Liyue looking for me while I'm gone. I'll return to you! I promise." He mumbled to himself. "You've been starring out that window since dinner. You should sleep you leave in 3 days. You'll be okay! So will you're mate." Mary Liu spoke tiredly. "You're right I have so many recipes to practice before I go home in 3 days. I can't practice while sleep deprived." He admitted staging up from the table.
   He followed the older lady down the hall and turned the door knob to his room. "Goodnight Mary Liu!" He said. He opened the door to his room. It feels empty so very empty without his mate. "Wait for me Li, please wait for me. I long to be in your arms again." He whispered before laying in his nest going to sleep
