Fires rage around the small town miles away from Vale, people are screaming and running away from shadowy figures and sounds of gunfire. The smoke of burning buildings and the stench of burning flesh fill the air and sky, making the night one of death and destruction. In this town, there is one that has yet to be touched, the L/n's. Here is the home of a boy who's world will be flipped and turned in ways he thought not possible.

"My love, you have to take Y/n and leave."

"I will not leave you!" Y/n's father turns to his wife fast and suddenly.

"YOU MUST! Our son must become better than we were. He has to, whether or not he chooses to follow our footsteps or not." The two embrace and touch the foreheads together.

"Mom? What's happening?" Y/n's father walks to his son, and hands him a piece of paper.

"My boy. You are not one of these monsters. You will destroy monsters when you grow older." Y/n opens the paper, blue in color and showing a design imprinted on it.

"You may be a Faunus my boy, but you have the heart and mind of a human." His son's canine tail wags rapidly.

"Your destiny is not decided by another's wants. Find your way my boy." Rapid, heavy hits loudly ring throughout the home as the White Fang burst into the building.

"Go." The boy's mother picks him up and runs out the back door to the home, all the boy can do is look and listen to the gunfire inside the house...

"GAH!" You wake up from the nightmare, drenched in sweat and tears.

"Gods, why does this keep happening?" You slowly crawl out of your dormitory bed and walk to the restroom, brush your teeth and turn the shower on. Once at the perfect temperature, you hop in, and clean yourself up. You hear the door open, and one of your teammates walk in.

"Cassie, if that's you, I told you this was a one time thing."

"No you doofus, some of us have classes too you know. Not all of us can show first-years around campus Metal."

"Atravus? Sorry buddy." You apologize to your second-in-command.

"Hey, Evie said to tell you to go easy on her in sparring later, she thinks she tore something in her shoulder."

"Damn, I'll tell her to suck it up then I guess." You turn off the shower.

"And that's why we all call you Metal buddy." He tosses a towel over the steam filled glass.

"Why's that?" He finishes his routine.

"Because you can be as cold as the iron you don. We understand though, and it's not like you don't have your good moments too. You're pretty good most of the time, but you have your times buddy." You walk out covered by your towel around your waist. You sigh out.

"Yeah I guess you're right." He starts to push you out of the restroom.

"Man, it's almost like I'm your right hand man or something?" He closes and locks the door. You pull your uniform out of your drawers and places your gloves on, the hum of the Dust powering the contraptions is pleasing sounding. You also grab your chest piece and place it on you

"Alrighty. Time to test the suit on this place." You see the massive transport ship land on the landing pad.

"Gonna be a good day." You open the window and leap, pressing the button on your chest piece, connecting the iron chest to your gloves and boots, forming a suit of pure iron, minus the helmet. You still don't have the design for it down yet. The gravity Dust powering the body armor allows you to fly around the campus of Beacon Academy, your home for two years today, as a second year your responsibilities are great, your team greater, and your burdens the greatest of all.
