"None of your concern. You look unsteady- hasn't Gothi given you any medicine?" Viggo replied. " I don't need medicine," I hissed. "I need the truth from you, and the people here to see that dragons aren't what we thought." Viggo shook his head and laughed, somehow finding my distress amusing. Now that he mentioned it, I was still feeling light headed and weak. It was a feeling I'd grown accustomed to since my crazy adventures with Hiccup, but today seemed especially bad for some reason.
Viggo stood as if he was going to grab me, so I stumbled back, yelling at him to sit back down and leave me alone. He kept advancing and then wiped some of the fake antidote from the ground. "You'll thank me later," he hissed, and lunged for my arm. I screamed and raced towards the medicine table to get something sharp. Heather jumped to my aid, wobbling a little as she smacked Viggo with a pillow and told him to leave me alone.
He turned to grab her, only succeeding in catching her wrist and swiping the antidote on her arm. I cracked a bottle of medicine over his head and he fell back, stumbling away from me and holding his head. By this point Stoick and Gobber dragged Viggo away from us and threw him into the corner. "Don't touch them!! They are under my care!! You will give nothing to them unless Gothi gives consent!" He roared. "Or how about us?! We don't take anything unless we give consent?" I yelled.
They ignored me and dragged the grumbling traitor out of the room. I rushed to Heather's side and helped her up. "Ugh. I feel awful." She mumbled, swaying. Gothi motioned for both of us to lay in the sick beds, and then started mixing up some herbs for tea. Heather continued to moan as Gothi took a break to wipe the stuff off her arm with a wet rag. Her scales glowed a little more defined around the area, moving and pulsing as if they were trying to rid themselves of the poison.
"Is this how you felt back on Berserker Island?" I asked her, concerned. "Yeah... That stuff is definitely grim reaper poison. She said softly. Just then Gothi's hut door flew open, in rushed the twins. "Are you ok?!" They asked. "I'm fine! Don't worry about me. Berserker Island needs those supplies. Is there any way you two could get the dragons on your team to pull that boat from harbor before they unload it all? That fake trapper has everyone thinking they already dropped supplies off to the island." She replied.
"Oh yeah. We're master ship thieves!" The twins said, a mischievious grin on their faces. I sighed in relief. "Can't believe I'm saying this... But do your worst!" I added. They ran from the hut and Gothi shook her head as they left, knocking over a stool. "I'll get that for you." I said, running over and putting the stool back in its place. Gothi nodded thanks to me and I sat back down on my bed, watching Heather with concern.
Just 20 minutes later, angry voices sounded outside Gothi's hut. "Those twins have stolen our supplies! That dragon boy has his claws on all your Viking youth! Can't you see what a danger that beast is?!" I sighed. Viggo was at it again. This time Stoick approached me and started asking questions. Heather was feeling better now and jumped in with me to support my side. "You mean to tell me that this trader hasn't been anywhere near Berserker Island?" Stoick growled. "Yes, no where near! We left Berserker Island only yesterday, and we had been there weeks. Never saw this fake once." Heather snapped, her patience run out with the imposter. "And you say you went to the nest... And never told your chief?!" Stoick said to me, his eyes smoldering with rage.
"Yes. I was there. Hiccup took me there. I didn't tell you because the monster causing the raids would crush you in seconds! It's like nothing you've ever seen or fought! I knew you would try to go kill the monster, and you didn't stand a chance. Had you gone you would have doomed every warrior on Berk to die, and left this island with only a few women, children, and the elderly. Some other tribe could come and pick them off with ease at that point!" I explained, hoping he would see reason for once.
