"I don't know if I should be offended or glad that you both just said that." Wes says, looking between the two of us.
"Take it as you will." Jackson shrugs.
♡♡♡
We finally finish cross country and Wes and I manage to slip by only doing 2 laps when everyone else has done 3. Don't get me wrong, Wes could've totally done 3 laps but he gets bored and distracted easily. I could've walked 3 laps but I'd rather not.
The second half of PE, we begin to play basket ball. At least we're doing something good in this awful lesson. We group into two teams. My team consists of: Tara, Jack, Cassie, Quinn and some other people I don't really know. The other team is: Wes, Marley, Kelly and some others.
I stand near the basketball hoop, prepared to shoot. I watch the ball as it's passed down the line. I jog forward a little so I'm closer and easier to pass to. Tara passes the ball to Quinn who immediately passes the ball down to me as expected. Before the ball is even in my hands people charge at me from all directions.
I turn around to shoot my shot but before I can do so my right foot gets crushed. The impact causes me to drop the ball and scrunch my face up in pain. I can't feel anything apart from the pain, the swelling feeling in my foot corsing through my body.
My mind goes blank and it feels like everything is sped up. Next thing I know I'm being seated on the floor by Jackson. The game completely stopped by now. He's glaring at Kelly who has a barely noticeable smirk on her face.
"I'm so sorry." She says innocently.
Bitch just deliberately crushed my foot and she couldn't of done it before cross country?
"Jackson will you please help Mariana over to the bleachers and then get the nurse and tell her to come down here." The teacher asks.
"Yeah." He wraps one of his arms around my back and under my shoulder helping me up and assisting me in hobbling over to the seats, which aren't too far away. He sets me down. "Be right back." He says before running off inside.
Luckily for me, the bleachers are mainly used for football matches therefore the football field and practing team is right in front of them.
Tyler spots me sat on the bleachers, confusion evident on his face. I give him a small smile and wave. He says something to some of the guys that I can't make out before jogging over to me.
"Couldn't wait until Saturday huh?"
"Yup. I got injured just so I could watch you play." I say going along with him.
His demeanor changes. "Injured? What happened? Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm alright. It was just an accident." It was not an accident but I ain't gonna tell him that. I'm not gonna give Kelly the satisfaction of even bringing her up to Tyler, she has a crush on him too.
"Are you busy tonight?" He says.
"Nope, but I have a feeling I'm about to be."
"Do you want to go out to dinner with me?"
"I'd like that."
♡♡♡
Tyler and I walk into the restaurant. It is a little out of town so it's one I haven't been to before. We sit down at the table and then order our food.
"I want to get to know you more. How about we ask each other random questions?" He says.
"Ok. You start." I tell him.
"What's your favourite colour?" He asks
"Red or orange, they remind me of fall, what's yours?"
"Red."
