Return to the reef

Start from the beginning

Dory: Yes!

Mr. Ray: No.

Dory: No.

Student: The sand!

Bridget: no no no. You see, migration is a large movement where creatures go from one place to another. But mostly it's about going home. So who can tell us where there from?

Green Student: I live by a giant rock.

Blue Student: I live 3 coral caves away from here.

Kathy: My house is covered in algae!

Student 2: Where'd you grow up, Dory?

Dory: Me? Um, I don't know. My family. Where are they?

She then looks to the class and smiles

Dory: can I help you?

The class then laughs and dory immediately realizes her mistake

Dory: I'm sorry. Did I forget again?

Bridget: so dory. Quick question. If you suffer from anterograde amnesia, which is the scientific word for short term memory loss, then how can you remember you have a family?

Dory: Good question. See, I can remember some things because well...uh, they make sense. Like, um, I have a family. I know because I've--I must have come from somewhere. Right? Everyone has a family. I may not remember their names and what they look like. And I may not even be able to ever find them again, but, um...what were we talking about?

Nemo: Mommies and daddies.

Dory: Mommies and daddies. Right. Why are we talking about mommies and daddies? Oh. Oh! That class. Uh-oh. Why me? Okay. You guys seem a little young, but, um, okay. You see, kids, when two fish love each other...

Bridget: OKAY! Their too young for that wouldn't you agree mr ray?

Mr Ray: completely. Climb aboard explorers. I feel a migration song coming on.
Oh....

We then cut to later as the field trip takes them through the reef and on the edge of the sea grass

Bridget: okay everyone. Pay close attention as the migration will come at any moment. So when that happens, what is the most important thing to be careful about?

Class: The undertow!

Mr. Ray: That's right.

Dory: That's right. The under--The undertow?

She couldn't help but feel that that expression felt strangely familiar. She then looks to the sea grass as her train of thought slowly wired in her head

Mr. Ray: Because the current created by all the flapping is very strong. And if your'e not careful, you can get pulled into

Nemo: Mr. Ray! Bridget! So how do the stingrays all know where to go?

Bridget: good question! That is the key part of an instinct. It's a thought within your heart and soul that feels so familiar you have to listen to it, like a song you've known your whole life

"Oh, We're going home"

Mr Ray: and I think I hear mine now!

They all look to the distance and they all look in absolute astonishment as the entire school of hundreds of thousands of spotted eagle rays swim by them singing
