First year in high school
"I love you"
Said the person with a spark in their eyes, that innocent spark that everyone had before being rejected for the first time.

The class nerd, the one who has a book stuffed in their face all day.
The boy wasn't surprised at all, I mean it's not uncommon to have a crush on popular guys.
He was the example here.
Gojo Satoru
Everyone wanted to date him, or even wanted to be friends with him.
His face didn't change, he didn't react at all like I said everyone wanted him.
Or so he thought.
"who even are you?"
Their smile fell, it broke their heart that he said it in just a rude way but what is there more to say, it was true they are no one and he is famous around the school.
Tho the spark in their eyes doesn't flatter, they still have two more years till graduation.
They still have hope.
But is it for long?
Second year in high school
"I love you"
The same sentence from last year, the spark is still there
Satoru could help but laugh to himself a bit, I mean this person is trying too hard for someone they can't have
They started wearing more nicer clothes, started wearing make-up (or not idk), and parting with their friends
In hopes that he would notice them
He wouldn't lie and say they look bad but other people would to about the same for him
He doesn't like desperate people, the ones that cling to you and start controlling your life, what you wear and who you talk to
Even tho they don't seem like them, he doesn't need a relationship
" look I thought I told you last year I don't like you"
They look down, thighing their grip on their sweater
" at least can we go on a date and see how it goes?"
He didn't reply at first, thinking even tho he knew the answer to the question
"No"
They turned around and left, not before Satoru caught a glimpse of their eyes
Was he seeing things or did their eyes not have the same spark as before
He shrugged it off, he doesn't have time to think about useless relationships
Last year in high school The Graduation
Satoru lied
He started to think about the person more and more, no matter how many times he tried to shrug it off
He couldn't
He tried to approach them, but they ran away every single time
He found out he loved them
He can't wait much longer today is the graduation, if he didn't do anything now
He won't do anything at all
He looks left and right, from the cafeteria to the garden outdoors
They weren't anywhere in sight
The only place he didn't look was the rooftop, his friends were waiting for him and here he was
Looking for them
When he was haft way up the staircase he heard voices
And one of them was (y/n)'s voice!
He opened the door to see some of (y/n)'s friends and the person themselves

Their back was facing him
"(l/n)-san"
Slowly but surely they turned around, they changed that's the first thing he noticed, they didn't look the same at all
They dressed nicely but that wasn't the case
They didn't have a spark in their eyes anymore
He walked up to them and told them
"I love you"
They blinked for a while and then started smiling at him
