Breaking The Rules (Camren)

Lauren's POV:

"Lauren!" Taylor jumped on me, waking me up.

"Go away." I mumbled into my pillow.

"You have school!" My sister giggled.

"Urgh, fine! Get out so I can get dressed." I groaned tiredly as I stumbled out of bed.

Once I'd got dressed my phone buzzed; it was Dinah.

Dinah: Hey Lollipop, looking forward to school? Apparently we have a new English teacher since Mr Salvatore was fired! xx

Lauren: Hi D, I really liked Mr Salvatore...hopefully our new teacher will be just as good! xx

I slipped my phone into my back jean pocket and ran downstairs for breakfast.

"Buenos días Lauren!" My mom called as I jumped down the last step of the stairs.

"Morning mom." I smiled as I pulled out a box Cheerios and poured them into a bowl.

"You're 17 now Lauren, you need to concentrate at all times!" Clara said while pacing around the kitchen.

"Mom, I know! I'm going to go now, I'll see you later." I hugged my mom before heading towards the door.

"Good luck, te amo!" Clara yelled from the kitchen.

"Te amo mami!" I yelled back before setting off down the path to walk school.

"Hey Lauren!" Normani called as I was entering through the school gates.

"Hey ManiBear! Where's Dinah and Ally?" I asked curiously as I peered around looking for them.

"Ally's with Troy and God knows where Dinah's at!" Normani giggled.

"So, any news about this new teacher then?" I questioned as Normani sighed.

"Yeah, the teacher is a woman." Normani smiled.

"That's it? That's all you found out?" I raised an eyebrow at Normani as she continued.

"No but I mean a WOMANNNN!" Normani said as I looked at her clearly confused.

"Ugh, God!" Mani growled in frustration.

"What are you on about?" I asked genuinely lost.

"She's not like tomboyish or ugly, she's....actually pretty." Normani mumbled.

"And?" I questioned.

"I'm just saying, she's a young, pretty teacher, meaning she will probably be nice." Normani smiled as I returned it.

"Mani, not every good looking teacher is a nice person..." I mumbled.

"I know, I know, I'm just saying! Anyway, we better get to homeroom before we get into all kinds of shit!" Mani giggled as we ran into the building.

After my homeroom teacher had recorded our attendance he handed out our schedules for the rest of the year.

"Laur, we've got English after lunch!" Dinah hit my shoulder, happy that all four of us had most our lessons together.

"So we've all got the new teacher for English then?" I questioned as they all nodded.

"She's really pretty!" Ally smiled.

"Don't you start as well Ally! Normani went on about her for ages before homeroom!" I giggled as I nudged Mani's shoulder.

"Yeah, well she is!" Normani sulked.
